kiragoe: Honestly I'd be happy with WoW 2 being like vanilla wow style graphics and 40 completely new zones, new stories, new classes and races (even some of the old ones). Graphics never bothered me just fun cool activities and gameplay. But in recent expansions better graphics comes at the expense of being forced to have fewer zones. Old expans used to get 10 new zones now we get 4...
dtk1994: I would want to see Azeroth reimagined just as in your AI videos.
People overly attached to the collection log are in the minority, it’s been a long time since WoW was at its peak, most players have moved on or are still playing because there simply isn’t a better alternative.
Retail isn’t an MMO anymore, 95% of the content is irrelevant, scaling is so convoluted at this point and the content that is regularly visited is just a waiting room for queue pops.
With the innovations in AI in modern times I’d imagine it would be a lot cheaper to reproduce the original world in a modern engine.
Then they can flesh out the world with additional quest lines.
The framework is already there, it’s classic and SOD.
Merge those two experiences with updated graphics, relaunch the IP, create a new generation of addicts and never go down the cosmos path again.
snakeyes3210: Bliz of old is gone . We arent getting anything with substance anymore.
hugobancais8538: Everyone comments on your videos saying either that Blizzard would never put such effort into graphical rendering for their game, that a WoW 2 is unlikely, or that the visuals you showcase in your videos don’t match the original art style of the game—the one that gives it its unique cartoon identity.
But no one mentions the possibility of creating a new game based on Warcraft's story, with a major graphical upgrade. A single-player or multiplayer game, regardless of the genre, as long as it's not an MMORPG—since that would compete with their own franchise, which remains profitable.
ahetzel9054: I think if they made classic wow in the unreal engine and made it even more of a survival game would be my ideal wow 2.0
zoenna: Valid points for sure, but they could showcase this kind of gfx at an Blizzcon at somepoint. Maybe just a starting location, just to see how people would react and recieve it. I can't be the only one who would love to immersive myself into these beautiful visuals!
jujuUK68: I'm surprised we never saw World of Starcraft.
Jplusl89: I’m not against it at all. Just I think it’d be a huge risk honestly. Ya many people say they’d come back, including me, but let’s not forget it’s a subscription based game and how many would actually stay? especially after the nostalgia glasses fall off.
The first experience playing WoW back in vanilla-wotlk was just different. With the brand new experience playing and exploring, nothing handed to you, no cross servers and building actual friendships and community etc
Just my take on it.
talesfromtheclassroom: it'd be so stupid to do a WoW 2.
Diminishing returns.
WoW 2.0 would make sense though. A reboot. Not a freaking sequel.
danielphillips1973: The problem with wow 2, is that it would be made by Modern Blizzard with Softmodern sensibilities. It wouldn't be good. It wouldn't be warcraft. They're too petrified of offending any of the most mentally ill people on bluesky that they can't make storylines with 'teeth' anymore. Its sad. but hey, I have my memories of wow being as it was back in the day. And it was the best of times. I am truly glad to have been along for that journey.
jugobetrugo7213: The Answer is simple.
Too much Content - too much work to make everything playable - too expensive - and the payoff aint big enough.
Plus they will probably loose some Players due to higher System Requirements and some People will be mad because they like the Oldschool Comic-look.
So not worth at all
CWG74: Stick to your AI videos dude. Nobody wants to hear this thick accent reading an AI script. Atleast AI your voice into something that’s easy to understand.
VideoManDan: I recognized almost every zone in this video, except for a few. I've been a dedicated WoW player for a long time, almost since the beginning. If WoW 2 came out, whether an MMO or a single player only version, I would absolutely jump on it.
Dairdis: Just....wow:o BEATEFUL
purecalm3160: "can you imagine leaving all that behind and starting all over?" YES it is called wow classic and it did incredibly well at first before blizzard simply treated it as a nostalgic advertisement for retail by abandoning it to bots and incredibly dated mechanic optimization (world buffs, min maxing, cursed and borderline mafia based pvp grind, lackluster endgame difficulty and SO MUCH MORE) all of which could of been easily fixed with a small mod team and a decent patch. All they need to do is release classic again as a 2.0 and actually keep up with the game, that's it they don't need to reinvent the wheel.
ENDUVY: Is groundbreaking new mechanics really necessary? Sure, modernization is required, but they could build upon the core foundations they have. As for technical challenges, using Unreal Engine 5 would get them a long way, ofc they might not want to pay for licensing and a huge part of the OG WoW community won't be able to play since they are running on toasters.
StanislavZeman-u2m: wow with such graphic would attract much more people that it can potentially loose after conversion - but yes - it may only happen in distant future
dsr3b: Not everyone has a good PC to run something like that, too. I wouldn't. Wow is pretty good optimized game for its size.
eternalwanderer8410: I want WoW singleplayer with coop possibility
Tayace1: Not up to Blizzard on if they make it anymore. Up to Microsoft.
NikuaRanger: ye, now imagine a 25raid man with those graphics. yes, your pc can't handle it
C-wey: Yeah, sadly. Someone else will have to build a different game that does what people wish Blizz would do for a 'wow 2'
kossua6554: Blizz know they get more money with regular wow. They also know that fans dont like to wait so someone else makes WoW2 and blizz just steals it.
MrAsiris23: actually playing wow classic from ascension private server and it has the modern look of wow live but a twist that is too long to say here but im having fun with it
