avan5352: I hate plunderstorm. I’m happy with the changes. I got in and got what I wanted fast. Now back to Alts.
MrPKJuve: Hot take here: Torghast better and more fun than Delves, but people think otherwise because Delves give gear.
LazySleestack: All I care about in delves is my sense of progression. I don't care how well it compares to Raid/M so long as when I do my four delves on a character each week I get enough juice, either gear or upgrade currencies, to push forward some noticeable amount. So that doing the same tier of delve the NEXT week feels just a bit easier. Not a LOT easier, but enough so that I feel like I'm getting somewhere.
It will be interesting to see how "tank" Brann compares to his current DPS mode. I have a holy priest who uses DPS Brann as a tank now, and he is really effective. Because he is ranged DPS he will, on occasion, kite stuff into another group. Other than that he is currently REALLY hard to kill if you heal him.
BulkersRuleZ: Im not going to do 12 for a mount. 2500 with pugs was already taxing on my mental health
DoublebrutalCS2: Please watch Blizzcon Delves Deepdive first 3 minutes again. They didn't mince their words, they said Delves would be an end game pillar parallel to M which never happened. Delves have been 619 ilvl while all other end game are 639...
Michael-y9d6m: Blizzard doesn't get most things - and they make the game. They don't get their incredibly large number of solo players.
Eric-ge5vp: Most all players I know have already unsubbed entirely due to Delves. Solo players should have something meaningful to keep us playing the game. As an ex mythic raider of 8 years, we had to cater to the mythic players base who felt they should be rewarded the same as mythic raiders who take upwards of 300-400 pulls over weeks to kill one boss. Definitely not even remotely the same effort required, but ok. Delves I see as no different than mythic players treatment. If we cater to them we also have to cater to the majority of the player base. You know the ones that actually keep the game alive, yeah the casuals. I myself would much rather have 10 filthy casuals to play with than even 1 try hard mythic raider or a super entitled cry baby mythic player!
stephenallan6264: It would be nice if we could get gilded crest from world bosses, not just awesome gear plus gold and vstones
Husky1378x: M should be removed from WoW entirely. PvP can take its place on the vault. M is a mini-game with nothing to do with the Lore and is responsible for turning group content into the worst experience World of Warcraft has to offer. Take it out of retail and make it a mobile game. M is not fun, Dungeons are not fun. Raids are not fun when tanks overpull trash like they are on a clock causing unnecessary wipes, frustration, and wasted time. The poison spread throughout all group content due to the timer, IO scoring, and the competitiveness it brings is immeasurable.
Lordbobomb: The only reason i ended up doing plunderstorm this time was because of the all class, Antorus Rogue Hat Transmog. And ended up making a outfit for my Hunter with it.
I really don't mind Plunderstorm and i still think it's a great idea to have mini-games like this in WoW, as it's something else to do for better or worse. Though they could do with some better rewards rather than just a recolor of old rewards.
boghyboghy3642: Traders tender is dogshit now that everything costs so much and capped on 1k/month, i dont get ur point
ZombieJeezus420: I can't stand mythic because its not q able and plunderstorm is horrible. I have nothing to do :(
UltimateGamerCC: my only issue with the Gilded Crest limit from Delves is there is no catchup for those characters late in the season, i would love for it to start at 18 Gilded from Delves and stack another 18 each weekly reset, meaning those late to the party can still farm their Mythic Crafts without resorting to camp in Dornagal as they wait to get in a group. which i'll add will be significantly more tedious as the weeks go by. if not then Alts are gonna be left with Runed Crafts at best.
dragonriderabens9761: I think Bliz needs to allow us to continue to grind out tender even after we finish our log
Endlessly
It doesn’t need to be a lot
But at this point I feel like once my log is filled I have no reason to keep playing
christopherdaffron8115: Players are motivated by rewards to participate in ANY type on content in the game.
Uttelito: plunderstorm is just filled with nerds that do everything they can to sabotage for others trying to get plunder, once they are done they just grief others. but im almost done so i wont be going back once i got all my new mounts.
1hej0k3r: I've said it before and I'll say it again. As long as Delves aren't anywhere near a balanced experience for all classes and specs, there is no way of creating a proper reward-structure for them. As a Blood DK I'd say 14 Gold and a thumbs up from Brann is an adequate reward for the effort it takes me to clear a T11. On my Shadow Priest a piece of Hero Gear and 10-15 Gilded Crest would definitely be reasonable.
I don't think that it's a neccessarily bad idea to have the renown-track for raids as long as it is - it will drive raid participation in the later parts of the season. Then again - is it ever a good idea to force content upon people, only because of a certain reward? This being said - the gear upgrades come way to late. As - I'd say an average WoW player who got his AOTC and all M portals for the season a while ago and has no aspirations for more - I've been mainly playing around with alts the past few weeks and I'm no longer interested in getting any gear, other than for transmog-purposes. It's cool for alts, but imagining I wouldn't have spymasters on my priest - and getting it last week via the reward track? Sure, I would have picked it up. But it wouldn't have done anything for me. It's way too late. Waiting another 2 weeks for the second piece.... Just completely pointless. The first one should be around week 5 or 6, the second in week 10-12. The later rewards should be purely transmog - maybe even a special colour of the sets or weapons - or some special effect like for the 2500 rating in M .
Implementing this system is a cool start, but it sure needs some more tweaking to get it to where it should be.
chiefputty: We are currently in week 19 of Nerub-bar Palace, which means we would earn renown 20 this week (you start at 1 and earn 2 the first week). Still a long time.
AmandaPelland: The new m KSL achievement and mount is a good addition to the game. My two suggestions for players to achieve this feat (remember suggestions!). Run m the first reset in 11.1 and avoid missing any weeks. Run keys as often as possible with guild mates and pugs while the new season is fresh. There's a difference in players at the start of new season vs late season with selection of good players compared to late comers and player skill.
litebkt: I do very little raids, dungeons or delves. I do make a point to run them all at least once. I don’t want the catch the fever or the endless gear grind. I love that he game affords entertainment for such a wide variety of tastes.
benderWestlund: Great show again!
joelbest2424: Liked the new PS. Got the 2 pets and mounts i didn't have and was done on day 2.
benderWestlund: I would ask you to consider a fourth category of play especially since Dragonflight… professions. Professions were highjacked by full time players, or players who can afford to play more than 10 hours a week. Since gold is necessary for ALL four categories, I would suggest that professions be treated similarly to PVP/Solo/group play in that with your 3 categories, there are levels of commitment and skill that are recognized and rewarded… for example there are levels in delves and M , gladiator/rated levels for PVP, LFR/normal/heroic/mythic for raids, but for professions… it’s currently completely bent to primarily reward, almost exclusively, players who play professions for hours on end each day… the time sink is horrendous… by bifurcating the system, in the minimum, to address at least two populations: those who play in the first three categories and can only RESPONSIBLY allocate 2-3 hours to professions to support their total of 10 hours per week (to balance life against school, dating, work, marriage, college, family, kids, professional development, elder care, etc) and those that can devout the hundreds of hours per week to gather, craft, cross craft from other professions, then to craft the items then bark in trade chat hoping against all hope thar the buyer or seller are actually playing the game AT EXACTLY THE SAME TIME.. the profession system needs to return to where the VAST majority of gold making game play SUPPORTS the 10 hour per week MAJORITY of the player base whilst allowing an extremely little play for those ‘mythic’ gold players… this will VASTLY reduce the WoW token sales (pay to play) but allow young, underfunded players, again, to join the game and vastly increase the player base!p, sustaining the demographics of the game.
MorganRhysGibbons: Soul, gotta hard disagree with your thought about exclusive model pvp rewards (they get capes, tabards and mounts already anyway).
There was one season, as far as I'm aware, Draenor season 1, where unique appearances were given to elite 3v3 arena players. Almost NO players actually earned them, let alone on more than one class.
To this day i have only ever seen one player using one of them- the warrior helm.
It was a total
muther-tslur: Love your perspective on "celebrating different areas of the game" - totally agree! I get the FOMO, but it's nice to see some differentiation for those that dedicate their skill to certain avenues in Warcraft.
Djynni: I think Plunderstorm should have had a Reward Track AND the store. Put some very nice items in the track like mounts, but not individual clothing skins, leave those in the store.
Craznar: MM hunters get to keep their pets. Thankfully.
