dwimors: Transmog is not the only reason I still play WoW, but I would not STILL be playing in 2024 without it. Fashion is the real endgame

Lazomazo: Transmog is horrible man. Killed the game. As soon as they introduced it they bled 4 million subs. I wish there was an opt out button... Nobody wants to play a game with naked people with thongs and fairy wings. Absolutely destroyed the core fantasy.
GunSlingerX1000: Me and friends played on launch day, and funny thing was, if you knew what you do, normal dungeons were piss easy. We did multiple runs with 4 people only maybe getting some random player who was confused as hell becasue - priest was tanking, hunter was offtank, rouge was dps and druid did whatever he felt like XD
James-sj1us: I wish there was a setting to turn transmog off for people like me who don't want to see fashion runways and actually see some progression. Surely it cant be hard to just have a toggle in the menus.

PoxEternus: I remember the game getting harder, the map was unrecognizable and League of Legends, COD: Black Ops, RDR, and BioShock 2 came out around that time. RIP Vanilla Cataclysm.
Hankthespank: Transmogs just gave Blizzard a reason to stop caring about making good looking sets or have variety of items. If you want to look cool you are supposed to grind towards the best items that are supposed to show how good they are, exactly as they did in Vanilla, TBC and Wotlk. Transmogs just totaly ruined the entire charm of how epic sets and common trash looks.
Elden_Lean: Not a WoW player, but "transmog" (wasn't quite that, but close) was a big part of ESO for me. I'd spend upwards of 2 hours at an outfit station upon making new characters and I'd inevitably spend even more time upon unlocking new things. It also gave me a reason to do dailies, whether it be solo overland stuff, world boss, group dungeons. I've probably spent about 1,000 hours of my roughly 18,000 hours of ESO standing at an outfit station. So, I get why transmog would be huge for WoW players.
LlamaSweater1928: I remeber a higher level troll shaman told me to key bind my shocks and how to do it. I was a 30ish shaman in 1k needles on my 2nd character in vanilla.
