StormsparkPegasus: In general the terrain outside dungeons is very incomplete. They copy/paste enough of the terrain from the outside world to make it look fine from within the dungeon, but if it can't be seen from within the dungeon they don't bother wasting time and space filling in details that you aren't supposed to be able to see anyway. I don't necessarily think the "easter eggs" like this are intended for players to find, I think they were just little notes and in-jokes that the developers used while they were setting things up.
