1un4cy: Ice Sickle has a father.
His name is Pop Sickle
LitoraLee: As a former hunter main. Hunters will take any weapon and play as any role, so Hepzibah Sedgewick being a hunter in their rouge phase of life makes 100% sense to me.
BasicMaffs: Innocent Jim types will preface a statement with “not gonna lie” then straight up lie to you
ebonnknight: I'm a little disappointed my favorite chemistry joke of a flightmaster didn't make it. Loamm's flightmaster is a Niffen named Avogadro; the Avogadro constant is a number used in counting atoms, 6.02 x 10^23. For instance, that is the number of Carbon-12 atoms to make 12 grams of Carbon-12; this quantity of atoms isn't referred to as 'one Avogadro,' no, this quantity is 'one mole.' So Avogadro the flightmaster is a mole whose name means mole
wedgeserif556: I'm a little bummed you didn't include the innkeeper from Area 52. Her name is Remi Dodoso, which is kind of unusual for a goblin, but I figured it out:
The phonetic scale assigns "words" to each note: do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, and do again. The song "Doe, a Deer" from "The Sound of Music" teaches it. Now, break the innkeeper's name into two-letter "words" and you get re-mi-do-do-so. If you sing those five notes, you get the five notes from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."
The reference is strengthened by the fact that the movie deals heavily with a government cover-up of alien visitations, and Area 52 refers to real-world government cover-ups.
robertmargist2411: Based on the title this already seems like a peak pointless top 10
EluneAnzu: "Hugh Mann, now that's a name I can trust!" - Zapp Brannigan in Futurama
DJWillDangerous: I almost never comment, but you've inspired me. I owned a house and 4.25 acres in Hephzibah, GA (near Augusta) back in the halcyon days of 1998, during my first military assignment at Fort Gordon. I remember taking note of the name Hephzibah as a sidelong religious reference, and through it's been at least three literal forevers (in internet years) I think Hephzibah was the consort of King Hezekiah... and through sheer stubborn pride I'm staunchly refusing to look up the reference again. Also, mad props for including Fo Sho Knucklebump, whose name I always pronounce with an approximation of Mudmug's heavy rural accent.
lucasmachadoh: On the Portuguese translation in the city of threads there is a npc there is a npc called Ca’belo, o cabeludo. The translation would be something like Ha’ir, the hairy
william3496: Honestly could do a whole top ten goblin names. My favorite is Stabitha Sharptwist.
mouse264: I was praying my boy Fo Sho Knucklebump would be on here and Crendor did not disappoint
FaylunaRaRa: The note under Dense Louis is actually the truth about the Old Gods
Thrano: Hepzibah is a reference to the character of the same name from the X-Men universe, that also features retractable claws.
boredguy1297: The Ohn'ahran plains are full of air elementals. Ohnara means "fart" in japanese.
Weap0: I'm just imagining Clinkyclick Shatterboom's backstory. "Damn it, Clinkyclick Shatterboom. You come from a long line of engineers. Your father is an engineer. Your grandfather was an engineer. Your great-grandfather was an engineer." "But Mom, my real passion is cooking." "Clinkyclick Shatterboom if you don't go into engineering, you're cut off." So, she stifles her passion and becomes a perfectionist engineer.
Beatrixacs300: Sad that Johnny Awesome didn't make the cut... I mean, he IS awesome!
TheFearOfClowns: I'm disappointed you didn't include my favorite NPC Fister Rockfist, the dwarf shaman who helps to defend the Exodar against the Burning Legion.
ramirezthesilvite: Clinkyclick reminds me of some lore I heard about goblin naming conventions. I have no idea if this is official, but it sounds good: Goblins have a given name, and while they're young they keep the last name of one of their parents, but around the time they reach adulthood, they usually change their last name to something referencing a major life accomplishment. So most goblins will typically have a somewhat unique name. "Shatterboom" likely comes from a particularly well-made (or not so well made) bomb she built, or possibly referring to the damage said bomb caused.
Bondsy35: Please don't stop. These are better than melatonin.
elizabethrosemorriss: I always loved Meggi Peppinrocker's quest "Trouble in Winterspring" (although I admit, I had forgotten her awesome name), just because her quest dialogue was heavily based on the lyrics of "Ya Got Trouble" from The Music Man!
hyperdragoon62002: I remember the time i found swedish reference in wow and this is Astrid Longstocking, fusion of Astrid Lindgren and Pippi Longstocking plus she have wild horses from Ronja the robbers daughter
borek92: Wasn’t that idiot in Red Dead Redemption named Bill Williamson?
Leeloo-Foxx: anything is a hunter weapon if you're brave enough!
Hatsjekideee: Dear Mr. Crendor,
I am writing this comment to you with the utmost respect, but fear I must air my grievances with you over the contents of this list. While many of these names are indeed of pristine quality and worthy of a hearty chuckle, there is one whose absence on this list is an injustice, nay, a *tragedy*! The fact you have listed not one, but three different flight masters on this list, while not including the magnificent Hoboair flight master from Westfall is honestly despicable.
I am seething with fury while writing you this comment over the disrespect you have shown great Hoboair. The gall, good sir, THE GALL of not including him, not even as an honourable mention is enough to make me quiver with rage in my seat. My frothing outburst at not seeing him included has made my neighbors call the authorities on me. Even now they cower outside my humble abode, refusing to enter for fear of becoming the focus of my rampage. I hope you read this comment and see the error of your ways. I hope you repent for your blasphemy. I hope you may find the Light of our great flight master Hoboair.
Hugs and kisses,
Hoboair's #1 Fan
Darduel: I just want to say thank you fro doing these crendor, even though I haven't played wow in ages I still love to watch these as the game currently is too different for me but these keep the enjoyment I had of this world as a kid just being excited about random things in this new fantasy world and not worrying about gearing/leveling etc
Shikaku2: If you want a video idea, 10 funny quest names, here's 2 of my favorites: Seal Clubbing (legion world quest, you do actually club seals but they're druids) and recently, Ooker Dooker literature club (siren isle)
