worldofgregonur: I went the easy route and bought a mouse with 12 buttons on the side of it. 24 keybinds with one modifier key. Still a great video nonetheless.
KeroKeroKuraido: I didn't need this video, but I still watched the whole thing and liked it because there are a lot of people who do need this video and I want them to be able to find it.
kingofcombos: The only true way to play is opening your spell book and clicking whatcha wanna cast, but this is pretty good… if you’re a HERETIC!
It’s aces content as always. Cheers!
NemrodhYarKemma: My wife MADE me remove the S key, she said only losers pull out..
Nallebjoern: I need to recommend shift-spacebar and ctrl-spacebar for your defensives, it's a nice huge bind that you can't miss and is a great panic button.
MinecraftersVL: If you have a mouse that only have the back and fourth buttons, use them for Shift and CTRL, that way you triple keyboard interactions in a more ergonomic way that doesn't place the pinky in inhuman positions
I personally as a shadow priest have mid range CDs, maintenance, movement spells and mounts on my mouse and a button that functions as CTRL
As for mice, if you got a big hand and fingers, stay away from the naga style mice
hgtuttle: Rebinding SHIFT, CTRL, and/or ALT to your mouse side buttons makes for the easiest use of macro cast modifiers and the greatest amount of actions. Autohotkey in Windows or various vendor software packages will get the job done. Then assign Z, X, C, Q, E, R and middle mouse to an action bar button, create macros for those along with 1-5 buttons, and you have 24/36 abilities taking up 12 bar spots.
Get a good weak aura to track cool downs and it doesn't matter that you can't see the ALT, CTRL or SHIFT layer CDs.
kimschell8407: I use to be a keyboard turner but your video covering keybinds from Shadowlands was instrumental in changing my evil ways. I continue to use your recommendations to this day. Thanks for the update, I was really looking forward to getting it with all the changes I haven't got the hang of OPIe but I will try again!
LionheartTM: Do what Swifty did years ago. Turn a side mouse button to be Alt. And use that to activate the modifier. Then you can use Shift modifier for less common things. Just dont use F4 as a bind XD
FlesHBoX: I decided years ago that I would map similar abilities to the same keybind across all of my characters. For instance hero, Timewarp, etc... are all on Ctrl R. Movement abilities are on Shift mb4/mb5, and a third side button that I have mapped to /. Defensives are all on Shift 1-4, dps cooldowns are on ctrl 1-4, etc... Of course, I currently use a razer tartarus pro, and previously used a razer orbweaver, and a nostromo before that. As my tartarus has started to have buttons fail, I'm considering picking up an Azeron Cyborg II and Cyro so I can pack even more keybinds to my mouse hand, I just don't know if I have enough desk real estate for the Cyro, lol.
And 1 for opie! It has become one of the few absolute must have addons for me. I keep my mammoth, litemount macro, goblin gliders, garrison/dalaran/normal hearthstones (using the built in hearthstone ring as a sub-ring) as well as various class travel options like deathgate, and finally the professions ring as a subring, all on my middle mouse button, so I don't need to dedicate bar space or bindings to any of that
