We have a long history of fundraisers to support important causes. This includes disaster relief, support for veterans, the LGBTQIA community, and many more. Thanks to your participation, these drives have raised millions of dollars, helping people around the world.
One lesson we've learned from our past efforts is that speed matters, and being able to respond quickly and get the donations to where they make the most difference today is key to maximizing the effect of your contributions. To this end, we're adding a way for you to make a quick and easy donation through a third-party partner, Accelerist.
HOW IT WORKS
When you buy something on Battle.net that is part of this pilot program (such as games, in-game cosmetics, and more) there will be a "DONATE NOW" banner after you've made your purchase. Clicking this banner is optional and not required to complete your purchase.
Clicking the banner will take you to a donation page on Battle.net. There, you’ll learn more about the charity we're supporting, and you’ll select or enter a custom amount if you feel like you want to contribute. Once you've made your decision and clicked "Continue," you'll be prompted to enter your payment information and complete your donation. You will receive a transaction receipt via the email address you provide.
The pilot charity program is now live for Call of Duty PC products sold on Battle.net. During the pilot, you have the opportunity to donate to the Call of Duty Endowment, a nonprofit organization that helps US and UK veterans find high-quality jobs after their service. 100% of your donation, minus transaction fees, funds the placement of veterans into great jobs.
The program will kick off with the Call of Duty Endowment, but there will be a rotation of other charities in the future.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Why are you collecting payment information?

They are facilitated by Accelerist and processed through the PayPal Giving Fund. 100% of your donation, minus transaction fees (unless you choose to cover them) go directly to the charity. Neither Activision, Blizzard, nor Battle.net take a cut of the money you donate. This means you'll need to enter your payment information with Accelerist, even if you already have a payment method on file for your Battle.net purchases. Am I going to be inundated with email spam if I donate?

What if I'm not interested in donating?
We tried to make this feature as unobtrusive as possible while still giving good visibility to charities we support. The donation steps happen after the end of the purchase process, so if you're not interested in participating or you've already donated, you can just ignore the banner.
I don't want to get signed up for recurring donations.
Every donation made through this program will be a one-time payment. We will never sign you up for recurring donations via this feature. If you wish to set up recurring support, you will need to contact the charity in question directly.
