Watching these TBC and WotlK trailers at launch must have been SICK!

ohiocoder8313: bro's discovering 2007

ctopd6621: Grubby wouldn't recognise the Priest's Resurrection spell in WoW because he's only played Hard-core, lol.

guyregular3391: "Patrick that's the Ashbringer - Director's cut" and "Patrick that's Frostmourne - Director's cut" next:?

Bheazly123: That scene of the warlock annihilating the murlocs so nonchalantly is why i still main warlock today

PhysicsMeerkat: "You are not Pre-Paid !!" - Blizzard Entertainment 2024

hironobu64: As a WCIII fan that came into playing WoW as it was born, TBC and WotLK were story caps.

I think the hype behind TBC and WotLK are based enormously on this. And I agree.

Story is king.

kleinerstinkebar6346: As a child when i was on vacation and i had no internet i watched every day the cinematics on the log in screen and counted the days before i could get back online.

insu_na: My favorite version of WoW is TBC, but the favorite intro cinematic is without a doubt Wrath. It's just so incredibly good.

higochumbo8932: Oh, my first first. =)

And yes, they were both amazing, specially as a Warcraft 3 player. The only one that comes close is probably Warlords of Draenor, which is also a massive nostalgia wink to Reign of Chaos.

philippecote8571: As a Warcraft lore knower/reader, having to defeat imprisoned Magtheridon -> Lady Vashj and her army in their underwater layer -> Kael'thas and his army in their nether floating castle -> relive RoC last mission in 3rd person (Battle for mount hyjal) -> Siege Illidan with Akama and the broken on top of Magtheridon's black temple -> Prevent Kiljaiden from coming through the same type of portal that sundered Azshara and created the Maelstrom... TBC #1 <3

Ins0mnia365: wrath is the best, the intro with sindragosa being ressed is insane. :D

cubescihist6737: Illidan : ‘’You are not prepared!’’

Me: ´´He said the thing, he said the thing!’´

ayyyizme: The canon event of reinstalling the game with all 10 disks and rewatching the trailers

Shiftinggers: Grubby should see the Wrathgate cinematic.

That shit in 2007 was absolute gas

AiR1DaN: When TBC launched, there was a male blood elf running around the starting zone /yelling FABIO!! He was there for HOURS

WotLK was insanely exciting as a WC3 player. It's still largely the most played private server expansion and has been since release

BlackTylerOG: It was an amazing time. I went to Best Buy for tbc at launch with my mom and brother who both played with me. I’ll never forget it

musicilike69: Grubby, they are not the expansion trailers per se but check out the Warbringers short stories connected to Battle for Azeroth. The Azshara one is stunningly good. Looove the art direction and style.

Blundabus1337: bro looks like he drank flourided water without the water.

DushniyChannel: What bothers me, is that how fucking GOOD it still looks EVEN now. Excuse me? It's been over 10 years. Shouldn't we get better not worse?

The effects, the music, the timing. Blizzard were on top of their game with cinematics.

TubeMage13: I was working in a gaming store when Wrath of the Lichking released. We got promotional material ahead of time, including a cd with the trailer. We put it on loop in a viewing corner of the store. Chills throughout the day until the midnight launch. People were so hyped.

Burning Crusade and Wrath are excellent expansions. I think you would enjoy both, and especially Wrath, as it brings a satisfying conclusion to the end of The Frozen Throne. You can actually experience them on non-hardcore Classic Cataclysm servers, or, if you don't mind outleveling content to experience it at your own leisure to soak in the environments, ambience and content, consider creating and playing a casual retail character.

jaded-harper: Can’t wait for him to watch the later cinematics, wod/mop ones have such a special place in my heart

z3yjIn: Wotlk one still gets me like the first time.

Forty2de: Imprisoned for 10.000 potatoes...

Banished from my own potatoes...

And now... you dare potato potato potato?

You are not potato...

skadehlidooshii4272: *They were their audience! Which made the whole diff^^

Wofaze: Grubby should see the patch / raid trailers as well at some point!

Jefffrrry: I was there Gandalf, I was there 3000 years ago... In all seriousness tho, for a WoW / W3 fan, these intros really were sick. On top of that the graphics were top notch, back in the days when these rendered videos were still not the norm they later became. Producing these was not cheap and Blizzard was regarded as among the utter handful of best studios when it came to producing these. "You are not prepared" became a catchphrase for a reason. And then WotLK came. The music... still getting chills to this day.
