blacksuperwoman1837: That stream was the weirdest shit I’ve seen. Two dudes flirting and Jackie being Jackie. I’ve been playing this game since May 17, 2012. The people I started playing with are long gone. The only thing that keeps me playing is it’s swtor and I invested so many hours. All the devs seem to care about is making Disney Star Wars items and giggling on supposed livestreams. Everyone on the team needs to be fired and real writers and game engineers hired. Otherwise we’re just waiting for the titanic to sink.
RosylaStreamingNetwork: I am in full agreement. That last "pre-recorded" video that they released (it was not a livestream) is flat-out just a sham. They don't care about the game -- they never have. They are doing this to specifically anger the Star Wars community. They are trying to fracture us into little pieces so they can continue to get off on themselves off-camera. The fact that they're now openly flirting on their "pre-recorded" videos and doing nothing but giggling like little girls says all you need to know about the mindset that is going on behind the game's (mis)management. It has gotten to the point that they've become nothing more than activists. They aren't game developers at all. They're hijacking what was once beloved games and franchises and turning them into activist platforms. Why? The simple reason is reaction. Remember: These people are all about reactions, and it gives them a strong dopamine rise. It's simple: If we don't love what they love, they will do whatever they can to completely destroy it until we are forced to hate them, which turns them on somehow. They're literally getting off on our disgust for the game. It's a cult. And it's only going to get much much worse.
Davish7864: The fact that Jackie blocked me for trying to ratio her lol
visorak168x: I agree 100%. Bioware has dropped the ball ever since Knights of the Eternal Throne. Knights of the Fallen Empire was good... our choices didn't really matter, but it was interesting nonetheless. Knights of the Eternal Throne was ok, but I still enjoyed it. After Knights of the Eternal Throne, SWTOR just started to go downhill, the story became uninteresting, and I have no desire to get back into it. The story content is not a lot of content and is just not interesting anymore.
aubreytheweirdone: EVERYONE BUY FROM THE CARTEL MARKET!!
PWReviews: I haven't felt the need to subscribe to swtor for such a long time. I would love to support the game. It just seems so focused on the cash shop these days.
Yes the story is great and all but its still an mmo and I havent seen them do much at all to keep it going that way. Plus to wait all this time for maybe an hour or two of story (if that) just doesnt seem worth it.
I love the game but i think the days of reaching its zenith are all long and gone. I see it just lingering there the same as Rift eventually repeat events and new cash shop items. Atleast SWTOR has the content and the name Star Wars to keep new players coming until that point.
I hope I'm wrong though and will have a surprise of new welcoming content.
The galaxy events were a good idea but they are super easy. Atleast its a way of bringing the players together in an mmo.
jornwolfgang4001: I mean you can't see chat if you record in advance. Look you can tell we're live because we had technical difficulties again. Definitely not a running gag with the team.
BoomyNation: First!!!!
Archelon4619: Broadsword is killing SWTOR on the same level Disney is killing Star Wars
terranghost5432: Honestly, SWTOR has been on a decline since Ilum and Shadow of Revan where they decided to stop doing class story missions to do single faction-based story lines where they make sometimes randomly make references to your class story and companions. And the moment when BioWare handed over SWTOR to Broadsword, the game was already over.
jd33109: I left after the new exp took me 35 minutes to finish, haven't been back saw the righting on the wall
2023roadstervet: Music is too loud
rexta3901: Over the past few weeks I have been the only member of my guilds (1 Imp and 1 Pub) online which is not unusual as I am in the APAC region and my guilds are small casual types, but I would normally come on and see other names on the conquest ladder so I would know I wasn't totally alone.
In the past week however not one other person showed up!
I used to run a conquest competition where for the top 3 characters (besides my own) I would pay out 50k 100k and 200k each week to the winners from my own pocket not guild funds to both guilds and for some time it worked!
But this died when the new tax system was introduced, I just didn't and don't have the energy to earn 700k taxes to keep it up. Now I know some of you will shrug and go 700k meh but I would spend my time playing the game and not the GTN!
I also kept amounts I was prepared to give away what I consider reasonable as I would be doing so each week and as a MOSTLY solo player. My other task while in game would be conquest for flagship plans. The Jump from 50k to 100k halved the number I can do each week as Conquest became A JOB!!
I spent I think 3 years UNLOCKING an entire flagship mostly on my own! Yes there were occasional donations but nothing I could rely upon and yes I am now rinse repeating for my 2nd guild!
Even as insane it sounds SWTOR means a lot to me I can not calculate how many 1000s of hours I have put into the game. Unsubbing for me is no longer an option it would really mess with all of my hard work!
All of this does not even include all the BS of forced server mergers (either 3 or 4 Ive lost count) over the years, lost friends, forced renames, currency conversion charges (part 2 maybe?) I still login at least once a day!!
The sad fact is if the plug were to be pulled it might be a mercy killing at this point. My piece of rope is coming to it's end!! I have only stuck around for the few friends I have made.... If they are gone or going???
BaithNa: I'm right there with you
I've been playing aince 2014 and am sick and tired of the drip feed content. The changes to the CM are also disgusting.
Margate1989: Turn down the music please, thank you!
camerynmaru: Not sure why they are spending so much effort to "update" character models, considering they're hemorraging current players and not making inroads with any new players. I'm like... Broadsword, why are you trying to "save" drowning players by throwing us anvils? How stupid are these people?
riffmagos: I cancelled my subscription and uninstalled the moment Broadsword took over.
alpotenciano4437: I have been unsubscribed since after Onslaught came out. It was so barebones in content with a lot of the "updates" being nothing more than a talk with only a few actual things like some Flashpoints that I did not even bother when Legacy of the Sith came out.
therealplanetmars: I just completed all the class storylines, and i looked up the later storylines to see a lot of voiceless dialogue. I don't think I'd be as immersed going from kino voice acting to an obvious drawback of time and strikes.
mox-yz6zu: i didnt know this game was still a thing, i imagined the servers were still running, but there is actually still content being made, color me surprised
PurpleDrink1: i am not a story person, like over the last months i have been more of a cheevo hunter than story so like updates have been meant very lil to me. But one thing has always brought me back is spacebarbie and aside from a couple metallic dyes and very very few armor sets nothing has grabbed my attention, until they toggled with character style modernization or whatever its called, like bruh. It's really hard to me to even see my toons without noticing those wrinkles, my chiss and togrutas being destroyed and like... they giving it an after thought on the stream was like, shut up. I'm not subbing till they fix it, if they ever. Like for a game that lives on decos and customizations... feels bad they don't care abt it, people told em test servers new designs looked bad and didn't care. And like on forums and reddit, pple get pummeled down when they ask for a toggle odd button or critic the new models, or return to old designs. I really can't stomach the apathy.
No amount of publicity stunts are gonna save the game from its biggest issue... They don't listen to it's community and even worse, they try to shut down anyone that does not comply with em. SWTOR might be a small game rn but as many times you have said, the game lives by its community, and sadly if they don't care about what we all have to say and just wanna shove cartel items down our throats.
jidow: I've played Swtor for 12 years, with my most active time being during covid. Where I met a lot of good friends and even was leading a guild, yet I quit after it got handed over to Broadsword.
Swtor was receiving updates less and less frequently the past couple of years, yet I was getting my hopes back up again in 2022, because of the R4 ops release. Sadly they didn't really deliever and updates went down again.
Swtor is still one of my favorite games, yet I haven't played it in almost a year. I do miss it, but after seeing this video and talking to a couple of friends, who basically just tell me they can't quit anymore, because Swtor is all they know, it actually kinda makes me glad that I quit playing. I might play it again in the future, just to experience the story again. But for now I guess it's just a matter on how long until they say they're with the story or fan-made servers appear. Yet my hopes are with all of you still active players!
gabrielhagetv: Game as a Service!
darknessflynn2169: It's the sad truth of Star wars the Old Republic they only care about making money not the actual story of the game.
randomcenturion7264: Folks, it's been five years of constant led downs, content drips and this Godforsaken, overstayed Mando plot.
When the best thing I can think of in half a decade is the Fucking Vette Date Night (which was nice....until I remembered we COULD have had this more regularly if they didn't ditch class stories!) then we're beyond Fucked.
We're just waiting for this to die.
