abmong: The only reason SWTOR has survived this long is because it's the only open-world game in town that lets you create your own Star Wars character and play Sith/Jedi dress up.
Seriously. The only joy I get out of the game these days is playing huttball with a competent pug.
EyesOfGehenna: Wait, are you telling me there's toxic positivity at EA? I'm shocked...
...no, I'm not
laranmithras7496: "He's got a beard, so you can trust him." LOL
Strangely, might be some truth to that...
DragonX1809: I really don't want SWTOR to end it is the only game out there of its kind that being said the future of it is really clouded.
Bladrcntrl: The Star Wars brand is already in the middle of the toilet flushing process..... This is not helping at all on their end, at all. They'll be out of a job in a couple yrs if they don't get rid of the people who are making everything worse for everyone.
DeltaDragon79: "I've got a bad feeling about this."
sw-gs: I bet that if SWTOR was to shut down fans would set up own servers which would prosper better than original game, just like SWG does where fans are creating own new content and expansions. Maybe that would be better path for this MMO?
Jadus_Lanniel: i hope when Darth Jadus come back he will purge all of them
joehiggins6194: They stopped carrying for their customers long ago! Think about how many Cantina events back in the day! What good part of us were asking for and what we got! And to see who now at the top and what they are dishing out now!
princehadesplayz9160: Jeez… You what though. I’m gonna laugh my ass off at the devs because you know the old saying. Karma is a B****. Swtor YouTubers are literally one of best things that happened to Swtor and that’s where a lot of support comes from. At this point it just seems like they want the game to die. (Ngl I’m interested to see how the old team would react. Seriously I want a video on it. PLEASE OLD DEVS WE NEED YOU GUYS BACK!!!)
doomandew: Hey, Boomy, I get the fact that you'll defend your friends and that within a bubble is fine, however I hope you'll explain why you're okay with "content creators" like swcentral banning viewers who disagree with their assessments of stuff and offer "constructive criticism". Also, when will you start calling out the devs at WoW or other games where you directly claim are ran better who do this exact same thing?? (I get you're busy and because of the treatment by the CS at WoW I no longer play, but 2 months ago you claimed there was a ton of news at that time to cover on that game and still nada regarding that news) It seems your blinded to this issue in other games, or that you want to inflate what is actually being brought to the game.
Whether you want to accept this as the truth or not the player base is part of the issue.
As for sources, I'm in a unique position as someone who has a degree in Communications and did have to take a lot of journalism classes, and wrote for my college newspaper. Sources are a very tricky thing as "sources" usually have an ulterior motive. Whether that motive is good or not is dependent on what said source is willing to share and the reasoning as to why they are not willing to go public. Anyone who has a true sense for the truth would argue, show me actual evidence that this is what occurred (for some reason I'm willing to bet that whoever this content creator who got kicked out was, if directly asked show me the evidence that you asked why you were kicked out, they'd be like oh well I can't because of the NDA and I don't want to risk getting sued). I don't know about you, but if I cared about a game, and I knew I was wrongly terminated from a program I cared about, that's something I'd be willing to risk.
Here's a stunner (not really), I went through your channel, swcentral, birdfacegaming, and Illeva channels, and combined in the last 8 years I couldn't find a single poll regarding what type of content the players want in the game. You make the claim in multiple videos that the players want x content why because the same 50 people gripe in your comment section over the fact they don't get everything they want?? Like seriously what are you basing this on, you clearly don't talk to every one of your subscribers and lets be real every one of these viewers who claim they love this game the moment they get pushback literally make threats to those who pushback against them, or they come up with every excuse in the book as to why they can't do something (like really Player A cares about this game, yet when stuff goes on the PTS and you know you need to be a sub you can't fork the one month sub to test stuff), and another fun fact did you know that a F2P can't get on the PTR in WoW you have to have an active subscription to be able to use it. Also, one final note here, I went back and rewatched the devs last stream, and I found 128 instances of players saying where the extremely bad word is my R4 NIM you extremely bad word promised, now I don't know about you but using profane language like that is in fact a ToS violation on Twitch.
At the end of the day I can acknowledge that the devs have extremely thin skin, but this player base actually has way thinner skin.
Myself, I look for consistency or at least an acknowledgement that an individual is going to have a biased opinion. Just as the devs aren't open to discussing with players with differing opinions, content creators are in the same boat, sure you're a rare exception in that you'll allow for clean debate in your comment section, however I think it'd do channels like yourself, swcentral, birdfacegaming, Illeva to have a long forum discussion with those who don't completely share your positions. Again, open dialogue that's what you all preach, however it seems that position is only meant to go in one direction.
ShadowKingRecks: I knew Broadsword was going to kill Swtor...I just didn't think it would be this soon.
TKRepository: I recently had to submit an in-game ticket for a problem I was having. The last thing customer support said once it was resolved was to go to the forums to discuss my experience and provide feedback. I did so, making a post that was direct in its criticism of the issue. My forum account was locked and I'm unable to post without accepting that I violated forum rules by discussing my experience with support. Remember, support literally instructed me to do exactly what I did. I've sent two emails that have not been responded to, asking why I was punished when my feedback on the forums was explicitly solicited by customer support. I have the receipts. Whoever is running the show over there either has unbelievably thin skin, or is playing games on purpose. Either way, they inspired me to let my sub lapse again. Might check back in a year or two and see if there's anything worth going back to.
gho5t504: It is a big problem! They're completely ignoring player base. I don't understand what business model is that when you're completely brushing off your customer's feedback. This applies even to very simple and easy things like decoration bundles of props which are already in the game. Honorable mention is purple/violet/pink twi'lek skin customization option which is popping every now and then on forums. These are things we would like to spend money on! The list of things people have been asking for can get pretty long. Maybe boycott is the way to go about this, but it seems like management thinks that they're holding the entire game hostage and that we don't have a say in the matter we pay for.
DakotaDoc: Any company that disregards and disrespects the opinion of its customers is doomed to fail.
CerazOzza-l7f: StayAlive_7 is a genuinely good person and passionate creator. I know for a fact he didn't break any damn NDA and I'll happily tell anyone at swtor team that. He's always been very kind and careful with what he says and says he can share. I know cause I've subbed to his stream on twitch for almost 3 years now.
Reckless-Unicorn: the down side to the "boycott" idea is they will just close the service and all the time and money invested is just gone....
ericswanson411: A boycott should have already happened to force change. After everything that has happened with the community being silenced for giving feedback, I am surprised a boycott hasn't happened. The longer it takes to happen, the longer it will be before positive change will come.
Alithia451: Should have been shut down 2 years ago ...
Guraypperu: Ain't trynna hate but everytime this channel gets recommended to me on my front page it's always criticising the game, if you dislike it so much then stop playing
stupidsniperplayer: I'm so glad I finally quit. Was hard walking away from SWTOR my first MMO one of the few games I actually loved but not worth going down with their ship.
hotlineBOI: Making SWTOR like offline so that we will not lose this game and to have it 4ever a lil bit what Dragon Quest 10 offline did idk
Hoenir: C'mon bro, we have been in the same train riding for the same destination for almost 10 years. The game has been on life support since Shadow of Revan, The whole Eternal Empire etc was just a heartbeat. The moment they decided to release the "expansions" as "10min Chapters" it was sealed. It is simply a fact that the game has nothing to offer. It does not have a big playerbase, It does not have funding, it does not have dev's working on it. Crazy , my first proper MMO. I remember applying to receive an Alpha key, getting super hyped with the old trailers, finally getting a new computer and Installing the game end of 2012. That was my "WoW Classic" Moment. I Still remember those days... maybe one day we will get a "private server" and things will be different..
avesatanae: Bluesky is a ton of fun! So many less nazis, cuckservatives and less bigotry.
unknown_sage: I wonder if this might have happened to Kid Lee. He talked about the games loadout system coming a year or more before it actually came to the game. He has not made any SWTOR content in forever.
fr0stbitefr3nzylive: That is actually crazy to me... nothing against stay alive personally. Always seemed like a super chill dude and pretty solid entertainer, but I rolled my eyes a couple of times on the overly positive tone he would give SWTOR... to think they booted one of the dudes that brought a fun positive environment to the game and helped bring players together it just makes you wonder if they are actually trying to ruin any good graces they have left with their playerbase.
Honestly, anyone left in that program should be ashamed of themselves and the dishonesty they are willing to bring to their community.
user-ym5mc: I like Spammer Station!
