TKRepository: Make no mistake, they fully understand the value and necessity of strong communication. There's a reason for its absence, and it's not because they're toiling away at the next 3 expansions.

BuboStabbins: ngl.. me and my friends play the game pretty often, we use it as a wow break when the seasons are in a lul, and we have a great time. Everyone I have personally spoken to has had good things to say about the graphical updates.

Discoloration with neck seams

Darker skin tones don’t look good

Vanilla Hair colors like light black for some reason look green

Certain companions look worse

In some lighting they look young in darker they age 40 years

NarianaZone: Hey Boomy, I like your videos a lot. I worked at EA when they started the development of SWTOR. I worked in the IT Department so I got to see/hear and talk with a lot people. I can tell you when EA bought Bioware, it was all about money, the decisions were all based on money how much was it going to cost to develop a new game engine. EA was calling the shots not Bioware. One of, if not the main issue is EA/Bioware used that damn HERO Engine. The Engine is garbage, very difficult to upgrade as we can see in the recent updates. Also, since there is a conflict going in Ukraine remember this: BioWare continuously updated the engine since launch on their own (which at BioWare means, outsourcing it to the Russians at Sperasoft).

cRobin1375: OK, I"m personally giving them a pass on the story content. There have been complaints about story content not being fully voice acted and instead of releasing story content without it being voice acted they are holding it off till the strike is settled. In this respect, I believe that the devs trust us enough to understand the current events in the industry. However, I agree some of the art modernization. I think that that part of the update should have been left off of the update until it was done. Granted, it hasn't affected me that much, but I can see how to some it would be an issue. I think that they got themselves rushed with the update and tried to add as much to it as they could because they new the story was going to be delayed.

mokeish: They just need fire the story team and to start charging 29.99 a year for full expansions so that they can fund and deliver some actual content, and lower cosmetics cost

jornwolfgang4001: I feel they know they're damned if they do and damned if they don't comment on the modernization thread. I will stick with my thought from the previous video that this single comment gets them a month of breathing room. A toggle sounds like the easiest path and I would certainly like a classic look mode. However I remember that this game is built on a beta version of the engine. They have struggled with nonhuman character updates for years. Twi'leks with limited colors and lack of newer options. Male Togrutas with oddly stubby lekku. No headgear for nonhuman characters even though the couple of head pieces designed for Twi'leks were popular.

Will they be able to work within the limitations of the engine? Will they add or remove the missing muscles, strange lines on hips, wrinkles, sunken eyes, different nose and lips? Along with the oddly looks like someone took an eraser to some cleavage lines. It really did look like someone took an eraser or smudge tool and went problem solved. I mean if you want to PG the game up just man up and remove the old slave/dancer sets. I'm sure there would be outrage probably way less than this though.

WOPR_PC: Whats crazy to me if you compare SWTOR expansions to WoW and FFX makes SWTOR Devs look like they been on vacation since 2018. In 2018 Battle For Azeroth was release, then 2020 Shadowlands was release, in 2022 Dragonflight was release, in 2024 The War Within was release. FFX In 2017 Stormblood was release, in 2019 Shadowbringers was release, in 2021 Endwalker was release, in 2024 Dawntrail was release, here we are with SWTOR having the same story boring soul less story about Malgus. Also each expansion from WoW and FFX added new races new content, new story line, new classes, new EVERYTHING, in SWTOR same classes same abilities same old story about Malgus, same old same old soul less content.

Sashman1234: It saddens me how I realize I care less and less for the game, for my own rp guild, for seasons and pve. Things, that meant a lot for me, the last years. I guess, this will be my final year in the game, when things stay the same.

And I also noticed how the special dye offers staying active for weeks. As if this is the only way to make money, right now.

U havent heard anything new about the subscription problem ppl having from steam and main homepage? i havent played swtor for 4 years now, i recently got the feeling i wanted to return for a month atleast. Long story short, my main account got hacked and lost forever it seems when they removed the old author. I dont mind starting over all again but the restrictions for f2p is killing me and i cant get the expansions without 1 sub for a month....i live in Europe so i dont know the problem for ppl in america with the subscriptions. but reading on the forum. I know there has been a sub problem for years now.
