philllllllll: I'm a game designer myself (ttrpg though, not video game) and I have to say that any time I hear anybody talk about poe2's design philosophy I get tickled all over. If they execute on their vision, it sounds like this will be the PERFECT game for me and onei have wished for since I played diablo 1 many years ago.
I'm beyond excited to play that game.
germalganis: "Path of Exile 2 is just isometric Dark Souls" -- People that never have played Dark Souls.
ClairicBeast: Best thing for me about poe2 so far is, that there isn't a single character archetype theyve shown i am not eager to try out. I never played minions in poe1 and I dont care to, but the Witch gameplay in poe2 looks great, as do all other classes.
xchargex16: tbh, slow paced mechanical combat is what is hyping me the most about PoE2, got a little bit of tired of effect fest from PoE1 in late game where you press one button and everything explodes. It's fun through first hundreds of hours :D but what i'm looking for is that real impact from using your actuall skills like in PoE2
peterd8251: I think us tank enjoyers will be well taken care of. The lead item designer talked at the last Exile Con about how he loves big shields and wants them to be even bigger. And there's this new "raise shield" skill, blocking and deflection mechanics, indicators on bosses when attacks won't be blockable... I only experimented lightly with counterattacks in this current league, didn't keep it in my build, but I think they will feel very nice in POE2 with the active blocking
johncrichton8876: Having to play with the game sounds awesome! More game less than spreadsheets is great!
horza3106: Sequencing of crafts is a gap in the market right now. Lots of videos on the individual mechanics involved in crafting. (Fossils, essence, etc).
But no real guides detailing the process of crafting an item once you have a vision of the "perfect" item in your mind
ukdnbmarsh: from what ive seen, im not a fan of all this backtracking thats going on
Klatubarada1979: Two weeks off for POE2 early access. A man of culture.
sabbathguy1: Definitely looking forward to easy attribute re-allocation on the tree vs using a sub-optimal piece of gear that's taking up an affix for the missing attribute
