ahmadashraf9448: I have 1k ward, no idea what it does, just happy it reached 1k as extra layer
TheUltimoSniper: I got Ynda's Stand and a fantastic 2k/2k armour/evasion body rather early from shipping. It very noticeably upped my defenses for my Versatile Combatant dual-wield Gladiator.
On the off-chance my block and evasion don't work, that 2k ward is practically guarantied to defend me from a single hit, after which leech and armour can pick up the slack, or I can just dash away and let my bleed keep up DPS until my ward resets. Any DoTs are similarly mitigated by leech and life regen, so I've never had to worry about those.
I think Ynda's Stand was deliberately made for Armour/Evasion because it's also that side of the tree with the most leech and life regen, counteracting it weakness to DoTs.
I wonder what a Mind over Matter, Eldritch Battery Inquisitor would look like with Ward. Dealer's choice of block chance source - dual-wield, shield, or staff. Massive hit reduction through protected mana and ward, with Consecrated Ground for regen.
TheGabrielbowater: The reduced flask effect of Madness Olroth's Resolve is such a cool concept. Madness also bricking your flask charge generation is a pain though, makes it very hard to sustain. If there is another source of reduced flask effect it might be a better option for lower budgets
SS20x3: shame there's no interaction between ward and warden, its right there in the name
phrazz: 94/94 block, 4000 ward (on a 1.5 second cooldown) and a regular, automated Iron Flask that charges up when hit... Combined, that is a defensive layer we've never had and it feels amazing. With 8 Endurance Charges up all the time due to Ralakesh, 50% uptime on Immortal Call and a level 30 Aspect of the Crab we are talking "tanky". DoT can be a problem, but Slayer Leech, Recovery on block and IC take care of "most" situations :D
taiwanisacountry: Been playing Palestroms build since week 1.
waiyiulam9818: My Necro use ward as her secondary defensive layer in 3.25. And besides the lucky block granted by Svalinn, i use Aspect of Crab to provide additional physical damage reduction too. Since the introduction of Black Mòrrigan last league , the aspect of crab provides up to 24% physical damage reduction . Its downside is further diminished thanks to the lucky block.
smarmypapsmears634: I'm using Ward in combination with Svalinn 88/88 block, it feels really good. I have about 4500 ward and that generally covers me for most things, and 1 second recharge time
broadbanddre: @WifeDota has a really nice video for the Ward Spectre build! Currently playing and loving it
NelflowR: Amazing and informative ward video. Specially now that it has become more popular outside of Wardloop builds. Great job!!!
