NemisCassander: The only bright spot in the patch notes for me was the fact that Acolyte of Chayula can now leech non-physical damage as mana. This allows for an EB/MOM Darkness build which was theorized before 0.1.0, which never materialized AFAIK because of the physical damage restriction.
I have to say, though, that if monsters are getting stronger, and player defenses are getting worse, then I don't see how in the world the endgame can get to the 'slow' state that people want. The PoE1 vets are annoyed because the campaign is going to be a slog and the endgame looks like it'll be harder, and the people who want a 'slow game' are seeing nothing changing on the monster end of things that is required for that playstyle to work.
Again, I think that the 'slow, thoughtful campaign play' and 'quick, rocket tag endgame play' issue is only going to be exacerbated by this patch, as it stands. And that's assuming that the numerical changes to skills are actually good.

Flanktank2: I was hoping they would have added a lot more content in 0.2.0 since they claimed they wanted 1.0 by december but thats clearly not happening anymore. After reading the patch notes I expected them to nurf the top builds but not to complete remove them from the game. Also they didnt address the biggest fundamental issue with the game which is the lack of effective defensive layers. Energy shield was the only one that that actually worked property and they gutted it with grim feast removal. Every other defensive layer does next to nothing against untelegraphed 1 shots or being perma-stunned which are the only things that are dangerous in the game.

kamchatskuy: I think the "Polish That Gear" node (Gain 100% of Armour as extra Stun Threshold, Gain 100% of Evasion Rating as extra Ailment Threshold) currently provides the highest survivability.

revoktorment440: They nuked OP builds instead of just making them less OP, Evasion got nerfed for some reason, armor was left untouched for some reason... Trading is still shit with having to message plenty of people for 1 item, having to stop mapping to sell 1 item and getting price fixers messing up the economy... What are Jonathan and Mark so against a AH? The current trade is not more social, sending a whisper and getting invited in a group is not a social interaction in trade its just waste of time. It's not like anyone stays in the groups and start chatting...

Orktosqt: Essence Drain wasn't changed, despite common take about chaos dots being bad, they weren't. they just weren't as good as stat stacking of any sort. Also Chronomancer's time stop wasn't changed, so while elemental hard CC are nerfed hard, Time stop works just as well, and with enough duration invested it would last for long time ( like 10-12 seconds ). and you could drop CD to something like ~40-ish seconds. making uptime very high. Depends on numbers, if ED wasn't touched at all, it could be very good relatively speaking build. Especially if there are finally Chaos dot supports, because in 0.1 you had to jump through hoops to get even 4 supports for ED.

Ashtarte3D: Okay I have to know: what fucking build was using Flameblast that was so broken they took it out back and put it down like Ole Yeller? If Grim Feast hadn't been removed that would have been the biggest nerf. Added 15 second cooldown and slashed damage per charge from 200% to 50%.
All of these are typical GGG: don't adjust one thing and see how it works, nerf 2 things at a time with countless related nerfs and watch the chaos.
