Shaun.Stephens: I'm one of the people who has been playing PoE for a decade. The best thing about it for me is what you said Kripp, when a new league drops I already know ~90% of the game, it's learning the other 10% that's fun. I've tried 2 but learning 100% of a game that's only half-baked is NOT fun. I gave up on 2 and was waiting for the next 1 league...

I think that, as 2 is still broken (and it will take a long time to get it to the smoothly playable stage) and GGG aren't doing new 1 leagues their revenue stream is going to dry up. I think this decision will come back to bite them. 2 is still in it's 'new release' news cycle honeymoon period but gamers are fickle and there are a lot of games out there. Yeah I'm salty too.

we never got a d3 or d4 that could match d2 vibes and im starting to get the feeling its gonna be the same with poe2.

I just hoped for a new POE1 league, cause the second irritation bored the hell out of me. No crafting, no endgame, same builds all over the place and item rng carousel.

And even after promising, on MANY occasions it would not affect POE1, they couldn't be bothered to inform of us until the end of january, when they have known about not working on it all along. Really, really bad stuff from GGG.

They are putting all the eggs in the same basket trying to capture a new audience to a game that eventually will be harder to get into and people will again be afraid to start/keep playing.

Since the beginning we asked for PoE 2 to be an expansion, not a "different game" that is not even different, they just delivered a worse version of the same game with better graphics.

Now they are cannibalizing the game that financed the entire project, and they chose to let us know what's happening in the last possible minute. Fuck no, that's not transparency!

drakainen4555: The problem is that they already told the player base that PoE2s development wouldn't effect PoE1 and that we would still get new leagues alongside PoE2 in an alternating schedule (PoE1 League > ~2 Months > PoE 2 League > ~2 Months, Repeat). The other issue is that they KNEW 3.26 wouldn't be coming any time soon and just went silent on everything till the update yesterday after telling us that we'd get more information on it in late January. The absolutely hilarious mention of how they didn't forsee an issue for PoE1 3.26 when they took the PoE1 team to work fully on PoE2..

wheeze9378: i hope they continue with like 3 seasons a year for PoE 1. I'd really love to cycle between the 2 games, and I'm fine with giving them some slack here in the beginning, getting PoE 2 on the right track before they get "into the loop" of juggling 2 games.
