Here’s what we know so far about the Necropolis League Mechanic in Path of Exile 3.24:
The Lantern of Arimor:
Player Choice: The Lantern of Arimor is a central focus in this league. It controls which monsters are haunted, their modifiers, and even the composition of enemies in your map.
Empowering Foes: As you learn more about Path of Exile’s enemies, you can safely empower them for more lucrative rewards.
Entering a New Zone: To enter a new zone, interact with the Lantern of Arimor. It governs the malevolent spirits haunting the zone’s monsters and their associated rewards.
Modifiers: Interacting with monsters in the zone influences the modifiers in your next zone. You can rearrange the Lantern modifiers to choose which enemies are affected. The potency scales with tier (from I to VI).
Rare Devoted Modifiers: These gold modifiers enhance the loot of affected monster packs. For example, killing the final pack might spawn a Nameless Seer offering a Unique item.
Pack Leaders: More powerful Rare and Magic monsters appear within the horde, and their Pack Size and density affect their frequency.
Zone Resets: You can reset a zone if you don’t like the choices offered, but be aware that it doesn’t play nicely with creating new instances from a waypoint.
Embers of the Allflame: If something is especially dangerous, you can remove it entirely using these embers. They drop from Haunted enemies and contain the essence of a monster. Choose carefully, as the Pack Density is retained.
Embers of the Allflame:
These embers allow you to remove dangerous modifiers entirely. They drop from Haunted enemies within your map and contain the essence of a monster.
When you use an Allflame Ember, the result retains the Pack Density of the original enemy. Use this strategically to manage threats.
