InsPoE: A second patch has hit the Towers.
Empyriangaming: This is a terrible change.
To clarify: the Tower layouts currenty are much worse than most maps. These towers can now eat up a tablet proc. Additionally, players who can't do bosses are now locked out of using towers that spawn with bosses. If the tower layouts are improved this could work but currently this is a net negative change.
tofujr: This doesn't fix the issue that having to traverse to every tower in an area to juice it up before you can actually run maps you want to run is a huge tedious and unfun chore.

Jellounseen: This aint it. Towers should just be poe1 sextants. Thats basically what tablets are but 10x more clunky. Towers eating mechanics from tablets isn't it.
TempestMind6309: I'll just say it. Juicing with towers is so cumbersome and a lot of the PoE population (including OGs) are high on the copium that this is simply an Early Access mechanic. Reality is more likely that THIS IS THE POE 2 ENDGAME which would be a huge setback in terms of what PoE 1 end game has demonstrated in terms of a balanced end game loop. If you're heart is really set on this tower mechanic than for the love of God at least make map layouts somewhat manageable. They're currently atrocious for a multitude of reasons the community has shared already. Thanks for reading.
ironymaiden1089: Towers are just an arbitrary obstacle before the thing you actually want to do. They will never be fun. Imagine if you wanted to make some juice, and you had your fruit ready, and your blender at hand, but every time you wanted to do that, the electrical outlet was randomly generated in a different place in your house and you had to find it first. That's what towers feel like. They are content you don't want to play, that prevents you from content you ACTUALLY want to run.
bsweat: Literally what are you guys thinking. Towers as a mechanic are awful. They are my least favorite part of this fantastic game that I want to see succeed. Taking 1-2 hours to clear out bad map nodes and unlock 4-5 towers to then get 1-2 hours of juiced map play is what sucks. Making the towers an even longer, more drawn out ordeal makes things even worse. Undeniably tone deaf.

MrDarkBM: I hate towers so much. Putting scarabs in a map device was such a simpler and smoother design than running empty maps pathing to a tower to setup an area.

To properly run maps it takes hours of running throw away maps plus opening and closing maps to block spawning. All this so we can juice 5ish maps with maybe a decent enough layout to run the content.
Towers need to be removed, juicing maps should be put somewhere else. Towers are worse sextants and we have already had this problem.
POE 2 is making a lot of the same mistakes POE 1 did when it started. Another example is removing all basically all percent life / mana from the tree and not energy shield. 7 years ago we had patch notes "cut the top end of energy shield by 35% as energy shield was far out preforming all other defences." Then they do this? Seem familiar?
As much as I love GGG they are really not doing a great job with POE 2 at the moment. I really hope they don't do what they have done in the past and try and try and try to fix a broken thing that just needs a full rework.
Towers don't work, they will never work it will never be a fun mechanic and needs to be removed.

More investment in towers. The layouts are not even conducive to the machines being added except for bosses. I feel like now when I add a tablet to a tower that says adds 10 of [mechanic], towers now are going to get juiced instead of a map I wanted.
The1rust: The feedback I usually see on towers isn't so much the lack of league mechanics but rather more concerned/annoyed/frustrated about how tedious it is to cull bad maps in order to turbo juice the objectively better maps before interacting with towers and now there's an extra layer being introduced by requiring players to clear all rares for completion instead of being able to zip to the end with your T1 Waystone.
Not bad for maps like Bluff which are super linear but the Lost Towers will be particularly annoying.
As someone who doesn't turbo juice maps it doesn't really bother me other than my general sentiment that I still strongly
