DanteKSA: "the meta changed time to play new stuff" the most scary thing you can tell poe players
CapeSkill: did.. people not expect all the unintended broken shit to be nerfed? I'm confused. Also this is early access, which means this type of change should come very often.
evilivo: "Monster power needs to be nerfed! How are we going to survive this now?"
Warrior players: huhhh you guys are new here?
luciainvicta5553: All I want is to finally have an actual melee build where I can slice and dice through enemies with a big ass sword and not end up as a caster... again.
RadPaisley: People getting mad about changes in an early access game is wild. Finally something to do again in game. I havent played in over a month
matthewmarshall6407: I am very glad they are not suffering from the fear D4 Devs have, a lot of the popular stuff was also "broken" which means it needed to be fixed. We are in EA, they need to find a baseline for the game to get it to 1.0 we are working towards
The-Pleb: Glad to see other creators not raging on the nerfs. I would say most of them were needed. Plus people seem to overlook all the new support gems that will be adding more power.
TK_121: I love nerfs. I find it exceedingly enjoyable to watch people lose their shit over a video game and mash their keyboards into the void. I grab some popcorn and sit back. Even when there are nerfs I don't like, I just shrug my shoulders, move on, and find a new way to play.
Youtubestolemyname99999: Broooooo its a new league who cares about nerfs if you are good enough you find the next big thing
grim1570: I don't know why people are surprised by any of this. They said they wanted the game to be slower paced and more tactical instead of a mindless zip zip like poe1. All of these changes are clearly meant to slow combat down and this is early access, were basically beta testing this so they can enact that design balance they said they were going for. Anyone pissed off at this was on copium just hoping they wouldn't build the game differently than poe1.
chasepeterson1696: I am so happy with the changes. My biggest fear was that they'd feel pressure from the community to buff everything up. Making everything easier and less interesting. Instead they went the other route and nerfed stuff. Keeping the game challenging and fun. It's going to be harder this time around and I couldn't be more excited!
ScienceFictionGuy001: I'm just going to treat this patch like a complete relaunch and assume that I know basically nothing. It's such a massive overhaul with so much missing information that trying to theory-craft anything is mostly futile.
AndersRB: I really hope the backlash doesn't effect any development and GGG isnt afraid to release another patch like this in the future.
The backlack mid league nerfs seemed really high and actually stopped them from mid league nerfs even though they shouldnt be shy of it.
MikkiZHskDK: all these NERFS is EXACTLY as i wanted and how the entire game was supposed to be from th start
Doc_Cocked_Glock: The monster speed not changing is the biggest whiff. They want the game to be slower and more player determined, but in the end game, the second a monster is visible on the edge of your screen they're on top of you. It's like they're all on PCP. That was "fine" because players could counter that by making screen deleting builds, but now with the player power nerfed, the enemy power buffed, and the monster speed remaining the same, I'm not entirely clear on the style of gameplay they're looking for here.
Feels like the meta will be "creep forward one inch at a time until an enemy appears on the edge of the screen and teleports on top of you and retreat and fight that enemy one at a time. Repeat for next enemy"
beltizad: The only way these changes make sense is if they 10x the loot that drops. If I spend hours playing and get practically nothing for my time, then RIP PoE 2.
OuchXXI: I want the game to feel like Act 1, the whole way through. I loved the difficulty and the slower pace, it felt new and fresh and exciting. I'm tired of these zoom zoom arpgs and blowing up the whole screen and clearing whole maps in a minute and when you do die, you have no idea how it happened, because you blinked.
Anarch_Bushey: As sad as I am to see Grim Feast go,
Damn that shit was abusive. Maybe we'll see a different ES overflow ability as development continues
GreenStreetSlim: I'm fine with nerfs. My issue is them not actually fixing the pain points expressed pretty much everywhere. On Death effects, monster speed, armor, etc.
latelotus: "Chaos... is a ladder!"
- The Greatest Gamer In Fiction
monsterstoner: Well, I hope everyone enjoys being frozen we going to be out here dying, boys
ЕвгенийСкворцов-р4ы: Changes are nice and welcome! I'm so looking forward to play 0.2! Hype!
bravexheart7: I am so happy with all these changes .. it’s a brand new game and a race to see what works
MrMontey726: I think people forget this is basically a beta test, GGG is still trying to make things work how they want.
novademon: Like Asmon always says, the harder you punish players, the harder they will work to avoid being punished. I predict even fewer builds and less experimentation. After the first week, everyone will switch to the first 2 or 3 broken builds because the game is even more punishing.
SilkStorm_101: Not playing due to me playing SSF, because trading is the worst I have ever seen in a game that says it has it, and the crafting is no better than D4. I do not expect them to change the trading since they seem to like it, but I expect like in PoE the crafting to get more deterministic and less random, makig SSF actually enjoyable to play.
