ElewIV: The issue with Towers is you end up spending more time juicing the atlas than actually blasting the juiced maps. My suggested change for GGG (Hi Mark!) would be to make all of atlas traveling be done between towers and after a tower is completed you can access any map within range of it. This would allow you to quickly hit all the towers and then pick and choose what maps you want to do.
TickerSymbolYOU: I can't stand towers. They force you to run every bad map unjuiced just so you can run every good map in an area with more juice. Why give us an infinite atlas and then stuff it full of mechanics that keep us in one spot?

There is a awesome stretch of playtime where you run your juices maps
Then a stretch that sucks while you run garbage maps over and over and over so you can juice the maps you actually want

I work all week and get off to play the game, not spend 2 hours looking at maps, clearing maps I don't want in rotation, getting quant tabs, blah blah blah. I hate towers, but mostly because I hate mapping. I'll just stick with Sanctum because I can come home, hop in, and run it

Playing PoE for a few years now, and endgame is a long and rough grind, now having to do content you don't like, just make's me hate them even more, to the point I don't want to play the game and quit early.

TheJregis: I got to endgame, realized kill all rares in absurdly large zones was a thing and proceeded to log the fk out. I refuse to play until that requirement is removed and the game stops being a walking simulator. I literally have not logged back in since I ran into that.
MrLimbwizie: Honsstly i think mapping is just boring AF to begin with. There is no point in mapping for me until they actually give me a reason to map. Well over 100 maps so far and ive found literally less then a handful of equipment worth even the smallest shit and a lack luster amount of currency. At this point? WHY am i mapping? There is almost no reason. Ive pretty much quit the game until they fix crafting and make the actual looting portion better.

The thing I don’t like about them is when you’re pathing to an undiscovered area and you find a juicy map with a bunch of fresh towers around it. Then you have to delicately path to all towers, run them, throw in precursor tablets, and THEN you get to run them juicy map. Sometimes it’ll even take 1-2 days before I get to run the map I want to

briankay3146: Here's a take, there shouldn't be a clear requirement for a map. If you don't kill anything you don't get loot or waystones which is punishment enough. Either that or let us see where the rare mobs are because the current system is has "den of evil" annoying energy.
Zevrael: A good game lets you do what you want, but challenges you in fun and interesting ways while you play. Towers are not fun or interesting. They are a chore. On top of that, you don't get to choose what you want to do. You have to hope that the rng gives you the combination of biome, layout, and content you like to run. Any endgame juicing system I'm aware of poe1 ever having would be a straight upgrade without downsides compared to towers and tablets.
It's like if poe1 sometimes didn't let you put all 5 scarabs in the map device, or you had to run bad maps in order to activate scarabs before you could use them.
This endgame system can be good, but we need ways to influence the spawn rate of different biomes and layouts (and not just a bit; if you only like one layout, you should be able to make only that layout spawn), and we need to be able to make it so every single map is always fully juiced to our liking. For example, they could remove towers and make tablets sextants for a start. Otherwise people will always complain that endgame is better in poe1, and they will be right.

alexsurh1472: They need to just redo the whole endgame mapping system. Its such a pain the ass right now. Having to juice the shit out of maps just to have a chance of a divine dropping maybe 1 in 20 maps. Then the probability of getting one shot from juiced maps is way to high. This is not a "git gud" situation, its a shitty game mechanic situation and needs to be fixed. That and give us crafting abilities so we're not spending millions of gold just to have a chance to get a good weapon in SSF.
