PherPhur: I got an even better response in regards to category 2 players. Most of them aren't even overwhelmed because the game is complicated.

They are part of the "always follow a guide culture" and the "minmax culture", and THAT's what overloads them. It's not the game that's flawed, it's the people. This ain't much different than any other ARPG, fkn hit something, level up, open your skill tree and just fkn put a point in. Get as far as you can and die 20 times, get mad, and start a new character. The only real learning curve is the skill gems, but once again, the game starts and shows you instantly how the fundamentals work, skill and support, put them in a piece of gear, bam, now keep doing that and fucking around with it.

75% of the fun of PoE is learning and playing around. People who can't do anything but follow guides in PoE are missing out on the majority of the fun of the game, how it was without a doubt intended to be played.

You can get to maps(essentially beating the game, because maps are more just a test of skill), with only a few new characters and a bit of fkn around as a new player, with no guides and no wiki.

Players get overwhelmed by the guides cause they aren't there to tell people what I just said, they're there to get views, so they go explaining a build or a bunch of unnecessary shi.

cashandraven2369: I refuse to care what other people are saying about games these days because they will simply bitch about ANYTHING. The POE2 reveal was great, what it is, is we have a small but very vocal group of players who have a warped perception of what POE is, and what POE2 will be. I blame streamers, because they set an unrealistic standard for what the games look like in the long run.
