No NEW Path of Exile 1 content until 2025 PoE 2 delay MORE

Demiand_: I remember when they said poe2 will not affect poe1...

123joshpearce: The one thing that’s concerning for anyone more interested with PoE1’s future than PoE2: is this going to be the precedent for all future PoE 2 releases? For instance, if they find developing for PoE 2 to be more lengthy or difficult in a cycle, will PoE leagues continuously be six-to-seven month leagues because they don’t want to hurt their numbers for PoE 2 league starts? I can see them really souring relationships if that’s the case.

I don’t think most people are very concerned with one league being impacted. But I think it’s a legitimate worry that PoE 1 will start to feel like a second class citizen.

Warpedsanity: Highly recommend playing factorio as well.

joklo2: i love the way the Path of Exile crew communicate, i would wish every company were like them

Heelydon77: I am not sure I follow your point around why the league would be extended (since the league start according to you) into February? While you certainly do make great points regarding their state of development over the holidays (even though they are releasing poe2 early access in that same time frame and will be working on that) I think that the big elephant in the room is VERY clearly that they've repeatedly stated that poe1 would not be affected by Poe2, yet this league was expanded and now further expanded again, when they COULD have simply released a new league here in late october or early november like the new event they are doing.

Given everything they've repeatedly stated, there is virtually 0 reasons that they do NOT have a league ready to fly now, other of course, us knowing that OBVIOUSLY, PoE 2 is affecting PoE1's ability to launch a new league, so much so, that we have the prospect of a 6 month league at hand - which simply shouldn't be able to exist within the frame of what they've stated around how PoE 2 won't affect PoE 1.

I think that is absolutely worth acknowledging, considering that it is very directly something that GGG has said won't be a thing -- and here we are.

AnActualDinosaur: -No open Beta access

-No POE1 league

Come on, man.

maxxvii2037: PoE1 is cooked man. Won't be surprised if the devs end up leaving it on a corner

ToXiiCxZFoRgE: I understand why they are pushing back the release of POE2 but very disappointed in the pushback of POE1 3.26. As many others in the comments here have pointed out, how does this not directly go against what they preached to us for a very long time at this point which is that POE2 will not affect the development of POE1 and they will both be updated simultaneously.

If that were true, then needing more time on POE2 should theoretically have 0 effect on GGG being able to release 3.26 within the next week or so which would typically be the next league cycle.

At the end of the day I think they’ll put out a solid product as they usually do, but from an honesty standpoint this feels very much like a bait and switch in my opinion. You can’t say one will not affect the other and then quite literally cite the development of 2 affecting the ability to release the new set of content for 1. It does not make logical sense unless the initial statement was misleading in some form or another.

ElewIV: Factorio 2.0 is unbelievably fun if you're interested.

Mytafa1: Im happy they delayed it. Hope it’s a smooth launch.

deemgai2727: What were yall doing in Thailand ?

masterpills: GGG is going to mess something up real bad in the near future I feel it :(. That's ridiculous its not till 2025 for a new season. I thought both games had different teams?

gregmashore4361: When are people going to stop white knighting this company…?

Zordiak17: ggg is down really bad, they are going the blizzard route, not a good sign.

MyNameIsSalo: Kinda thought the idea was that PoE1 and 2 are ran and developed separately so that both games exist simultaneously. But they've reallocated ALL resources to PoE2 and would have been neglecting PoE1 for atleast 3months if not longer. I hope this is only a temporary change and once PoE2 comes into open beta that they'll shift resources back to PoE1 so we have both games. Really was hoping we would get content expansions every 3-4 months for both games, but if it's every 6months then that is no better than the old 3 month cycle. No reason for 2 versions of the game to exist if it takes 6 months to make a new league, when they can do it in 3 months in 1 game. It's the same amount of content for us either way, and for many players it would be much less if they much prefer one version of the game over the other

I don't have any issues with PoE2 being delayed. But I am very concerned about how they plan on managing 2 games at the same time, as they've completely failed to develop PoE1 during these months. And if that trend continues then both games suffer from it.

Etzlo1: at this rate PoE 1 is just gonna be abandoned a year after PoE 2 release, lmao

-B.H.: Fine by me with the delays. I would rather GGG shifts the PoE1 leagues till after GGG employee's take their yearly big break at the start of the new year. Getting a December league and having many weeks of no feedback always felt a bit off.

NovembersDooom: More proof GGG can't get their shit together.

evildarkeevildark5943: They focusing to much on poe 2.. i understand it but its just to much to abadon the poe 1 and add the old content to play again.. no way its so hard to bring back like old league mix to shake up a little bit for thet 2-3 month but they feel lazy and still focusing on 1 thing..
