My Thoughts On The Path Of Exile 1 Event

mattb6646: Go figure, their throw away ideas were some of the best. I hate the sadist side of ggg sometimes. They forget you dont only get fun from challenge

Achielezz: What they really did well with this event is manage community expectations! Now people, me included, are happy about a tiny league :)

vajguy: I dont think GGG thought they were doing anything bad.. they just threw "balancing" out the window. It's cool to just have a group of ideas, implement it, and not have to worry about maintaining it.

Juggernaut76: The Phrecia event just shined an even brighter light on the issues I have with both games. I dislike the POE1 campaign, but love the endgame. I like the POE2 campaign, but hate it's endgame.

The event has kept me from even logging back in to POE2. Crafting, mapping, mobility, and controlled progression feels good in POE.

That being said I only have a single character for the event and there will be no alts. It may be unpopular, but it's time to let POE go and put all resources into POE2. Both games will hurt otherwise and POE is a good, but old game that should be maintained with minimal resources. POE2 needs time, resources, and a serious endgame overhaul.

Elzix_: Thx Raxx, as always great job.

Atlas > Idols . And i wouldnt say that atlas more complex then idols. Its just picture in general . When u see ur atlas 1st time you getting a lot of info in one moment. Try to put all idols in game in one HUGE stash . and say to new player: choose idols for ur self.

Maybe im wrong but it is how i see this system.

IONIQ1445: Went back to POE2 after i hit lvl80 in POE1 for the MTX.

IOAwaits: They need to keep these ascendancies. Either bake them into the main game and let every champ have 6. Or jusy keep LoP as a alternate mode.

MWaever: Definitely not too fond of Idols, but the Ascendencies have been tremendously positive... Even if they are horribly balanced (which was to be expected)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Raxx!

damikaz: Biggest problem with idols is map sustain...

1984chevroletdude: Started on poe2 to learn the basics because..."easier". Although still confusing as shit, its making poe1 easier to understand and I've been stuck on poe1

redfish337: They put map% on idols but still needed to have low ilvl idols have heavy weighting toward Kirac missions and tier%.

Having lots of stupid crap on the maps was actually kinda fun. I don't want to put points in mechanics I don't want to do when on regular atlas tree, but the off-mechanic mechanics I got were still at least semi-juicing what spawned randomly so while it was still probably fairly inefficient to run them, it didn't feel stupidly pointless like running non-boosted content on atlas tree.

enqubas: I think they should put the new temporary Asendencies into PoE1. And not throw it away.

DisguisedOfficial: relate so much to not wanting Einhar in maps holy shit he is annyoing xd

marc-andreblais5818: my level 80 character was unable to even run yellow maps so i had to reroll so now i just made it out of the campaign and i feel so far behind with people already having several mirrors? this is crazy xd

Matt-x6c: I’m not a fan of the idol system.

rolandalphs7022: What i wish they could do for the endgame is to do it in the Last Epoch way, a choice for the endgame system. So the maps you run either follows the atlas tree OR idol system effects. Its more player agency, so i think its always good. But theres always a "downside" in which it makes the game more bloated, harder to understand i guess. Not a problem for vets though.

I feel like if they implement this, its a net positive. You could run and finish your atlas tree, which is like one of the best dopamine hits / addicting thing to do in the endgame system. And when you're done with that, you could also farm and setup idols for when you switch to that system. Or maybe something like the atlas tree being only for half the league mechanics, and idols being for the other half. It would simplify the atlas tree system (though i think the current one is already in a near perfect state), and collecting idols that has league mechanics you want (and not what you dont want) is easier.

Buffalo99124: Hi Rax!! Really hope you end up covering and checking out the new season of Last Epoch. It's easily my favorite arpg now and they look like they've been COOKING

MarcusW8: Idols as sockets in atlas tree maybe?

kevinmann2154: Poe1 here

vladimirsukhonosenko8018: I am suffering through poe1 to lvl 80 and honestly I can't stand it. It is such a borefest. Can't wait to get back to poe 2 when the new patch drops!

peppersplease: hello rax, currently playing LE, im hyped for season 2 ngl

DarkWanderer666: Playing souls while waiting for the new LE season.

modelistas1: stopped playing poe2, waiting for 0.2.0 patch, will jump to ssf probably, more challenging should be more fun too

CCSplinters: First?

shodan9843: I'm genuinely having a great time. Made 3 characters to 80 , just to casually try a few different ascendancies, and it's been a nice refresh to come back to Settlers which i enjoyed when it launched.

Never played a mine build, didn't think I'd ever enjoy it, but i was so wrong

aliaksandrzmrocny1888: Amazing event for me personally, home brewed ancestral commander made on a fly "by ear" still easily climbed to sixteens with no issues despite being a newish player. Only regret was not going hardcore as died zero times on a 90ty, already an achievement for me as generally I'd even die in campaign one or two times previously, AC is just that good apparently

AmroTamro: Although the randomness can be annoying (especially since it forces you to interact with the shudder
