Bobbias: The whole reason poe2 is a separate game/client is that the rewrite of the animation system that allowed WASD to work was so large that it ended up making far more sense to split it out into a second game.

This means that the likelihood of WASD coming to poe1 is extremely low, at least in the near future. Maybe like 5 years down the line it'll happen, but as it stands you won't likely see it any time soon.

alessiodegaetani6489: Hello, I played 400h of POE2 and decided to try out POE1 for the first time. There are for sure a lot of pros and cons that you mentioned, but I believe one of the best things is the more “softcore” experience of POE1 compared to POE2. In poe1 i have 6 portals and the maps are way easier in the endgame start, I can just blast withouth worrying about dying and loosing a map or a breachstone. Farming with my brain off or while watching a stream has been awesome so far!

CodBrahSquad: Spent my whole weekend in POE1 Phrecia event as a first timer who sank 700 hours into POE2 since release, I now realize why POE1 vets are so lukewarm on 2. After having played both games, POE2 passive tree needs more defensive/life options. The crafting system is so much better in POE1, I was a bit shocked by how barebones POE2's system is. I've only worked my way up to tier 4 maps in POE1, and they are just so much more rewarding than POE2. Give me quant and rarity for adding modifiers to POE2's maps. Don't even get me started on the map layouts and how much better they are in the first game. Oh, and we need more movement options. Kind of crazy my level 30 shadow moves at 5x the speed of my 97 ranger in 2.

fernandson: Ive tried POE1 before POE2 release. It's amazing ideed, but Im not able to come back. Cant stand socket colors and zoomzoom is not my kind of playstyle.

HuyNguyen-ev7mp: There is a lots of things in poe2 which are better than poe1. But as it is for now i think poe1 is still the king, still far better than poe2. It's crazy how much i realize that i still in love with poe1 coming back from poe2. I hope GGG wont kill poe1 :(

anm767: In POE2 I understood what to do and how things work, in POE have no idea. With the amount of content in POE they greatly lack tutorial component.

fizzyshellfish5439: I'm a super casual player of PoE2. The only thing I do not want to ever touch is the web-based auction system. I have zero interest in buying equipment from a separate website. I will never be a super high level player, but I just detest the idea of buying gear from other players.

sssnake1654: I started playing POE1 a week before POE2 came out. Who needs wasd when you have a controller? In POE1 I have a lvl86 DIY Juggernaut Marauder, doing T6 maps atm. In POE2 I have a lvl57 Infernalist Witch (your build Rax, loving it!). IMO, POE1 has way more depth. I was still correcting my build/misconceptions at lvl80, and still discovering new stuff. To be expected after 10 years of enriching and improving. POE2 improves on POE1 and plays better. I enjoy auto-portal, free item identification, no more 6-link grinding and dodge roll. Skills handing is much better. Graphics are amazing. POE2 currently lacks depth and intricacy, but hopefully this will come with time. Both games annoy with unnecessary environmental noise pollution at times. Love them both. Just my 2c worth.

Quix906: Map layouts are a big pain point for poe2 I think. Being able to choose which map I want to run in the endgame is very important for enjoyment. And the fact that certain layouts favor certain strategies is so nice

Deejvival: One important thing I think that was left off of the list. The console/controller experience on POE2 is far superior to POE1.

I think they could look to back port some of the QOL for the controller in 2 back to 1

oftenunlucky4807: regarding crafting, GGG is scared of adding too much determinism to crafting like POE1 does. POE1 runs into the problem of after maybe getting to 2 void stones (like 12 hours progression) you basically hide ALL rare items on your filter. I mean why bother ID any item when you could farm resources and craft a near perfect item from a white base?

I do think POE2 is too extreme having such little and terribly RNG focused crafting though.

Bakouru: For me running the lab to get my ascendancies in PoE 1 was always far more fun than running the trials in PoE 2. The trials just feel like a chore wheras the lab felt like a fun thing I get to go do now that is full of puzzles and optional loot that also happened to get me some good skill points to use on my character.

ChemiiOneLegacy: I honestly don't know anyone who asked for the PoE2 crafting system to be changed from PoE1, it really spoiled the game for me a lot.

michaelschmidt145: I don’t have as manny hours in as your, 1K in PoE and 500 in PoE2 but I agree with all of your points. I absolutely prefer the mapping system of PoE. There is something so fun about getting each map and completing them!
