HOLD Your BOATS!!! Path of Exile 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur

doom1354: This feels to me like an insanely huge nerf.. before the patch I was constantly* sending out boats to the 30 min ports with around 2-3k of each food with 9k dust and seemingly getting a div every other boat and doing this till I ran out of food getting like 6-12 divs a day. Since this patch came out, I've sent out millions on millions worth of ships probably like around 8m total worth of ships and have gotten 4 divines. So far this "buff" feels terrible.

irrelevant12: historically when GGG in its patch notes state somethign in the lines "...for most cases..." we have allways seen it as an euphenism for "its a nerf"

metaslavegaming9075: we need a reddit post "Ship Buffs were too strong, we need to revert back to the nerfed state" XDDDDD

netneo4038: So a misconception is that before 550 dust would give you double loot, but it didn't it merely doubled the 'shipping value' which seems to be an entirely pointless value, for the most part what dust did was giving some multiplier to loot but mostly just added a bunch of risk. Basically you'd hit diminishing returns on your goods and then the dust wouldn't actually give you much more just add more to the already diminished returns while still massively spiking the value/risk.

Now what they seem to have done is actually make it so that the dust adds an independent value to your shipment, meaning that if you send a bunch of food and an equal amount of dust you get twice the value. Which is far more than you'd get before.

The problem is that this isn't really apparent in small numbers and small shipments, this only really REALLY starts to shine at very large shipment sizes of several millions dust.

This is mostly a nerf to small shipments with small amounts of dust (yes 8000 dust isn't a whole lot considering you can disenchant uniques for much much more, and even items generally go for 4K ) but has massive implications on large shipments.

WitherFang: It's a massive nerf and they basically gaslight us by saying it's a buff.

Eqnotalent: Oh, the missing ship thing has been happening. It came back with nothing, no msg. Just empty

TheMrApotamkin: After patch I did a lot of ships and it's not bad, it's horrible. I don't care what people test or say it's huge nerf. Now we need to spend tons of dust to get anything. Usually league getting better with every patch but this one.... why did they do this idk

SuperCatacata: Yeah, anyone saying it was a buff is insane. I have been sending out shipments that usually got me 1-4 divs on average and haven't had any divs yet.

Yomush: When I saw "this is a buff" I knew we're getting a massive nerf. Historically when GGG says "this is a buff" it's exactly the opposite, I think that now it's not even worth it to waste your gold on shipments anymore and just spend it on something else (currency market flipping or recombinators for example)

vevabg: It's absolutely nerfed to the ground, so no loot on the ground, no loot on the ships , poe in the trash been I had more than enough and this was last drop.

illfate757: Yea, I've just been matching the shipment value price to get double the rewards after I've played around with it a lot. To me its basically only send what the place needs and if the ports rewards for the resource is what you want add dust. For instance Ribbon Fell wants Verisium from me currently so I actually send my Dust because you get back a ton of Scarabs back. But if Ribbon Fell wants Crimson Iron I wont send any dust because I dont care about getting Str based armor. The dust cost gets pretty out of control for more benefit if you wanna get more than double because of DR.
