AshkonHemmati: can we just take a second to applaud the devs for--all of this--as far as I know, this kind of community involvement and rapport is unprecedented!
jr1348jr: Felt like this was one of the podcast’s weaker interviews. A lot of it just felt, off. I don’t know how things work behind the scenes, but if you two are going to ask detailed questions about numbers or interactions you should probably get those questions to them prior to the interview. As smart as they are, it’s too much to expect them to have a handle on every detail with so much changing.
andrewtudor01: Jonathan just said in an interview that there are currently 200 employees working on the game. At this point, there's no way he is up to date with every details and numeric changes that are being done. What we want to hear from him are his goals and overall vision of each aspect of the game.
LuiGuiShi: I think both you and DM should train a little bit in the art of interview. First of all, you shouldn't just send your question to both Mark and Jonathan. You should know by now which role they have and which question are aimed at Mark and which question are aimed at Jon, you should have a decent idea of how long each answer could take to answer so each have a comparable talking time, and you should make sure not to ask question that are unrelated to the reason of the interview, at least until the end of the interview. You also asked question that will be answered by the patch note in less than 2 days, what's the point of asking these question? There was too many answer that was "well I don't know", and that just mean the question themselves were bad. I know you love minions Ghazzy, but was asking like 5 very specific questions about minions really necessary for the sake of the community? no it was not, it was for your sake and your sake only.
DementoPowerful: After watching GhazzyTV multiple times, I can confidently say he has no idea how to conduct an interview. His approach feels awkward, unprofessional, and overly aggressive in pushing for details, with completely unrealistic expectations for GGG to have exact answers. As a content creator in this genre, it’s his job to improve—he should take courses and actually learn how to conduct interviews properly.
ShaddyzZz: Im sorry guys, but I feel like most questions got wasted here.
When you have the two head devs of GGG as interview guests, try asking some questions regarding the vision of the game, how they think going forward, state of the game etc. Rather than asking number related questions that you will get answered when patch notes drop 2 days later. Youre basically making this interview obsolete after patch notes have dropped by asking these kinda questions, instead of something more interesting / in depth about developing a game.
EskyIsAlive: "podcast" more like "interrogation" lol jeez, fair play to the devs
isaiahpee9400: genuinely felt bad for the devs having to sit through this interview...
Ahzumer: I still dont understand why there are niche class/item specific questions being asked unless its genuinely important like armour changes or elaborating on design decisions.
Who cares? wait for patchnotes or play the game? These interviews are too short and rare for that stuff.
fruitdudetv: if you die to bloaters than this is just a skill diff ngl
erth8096: I think you guys should post major questions you gonna ask publicly or send them to GGG so they are bit prepared. For half of the questions they were like I don't know, I'll have to check how it actually works, well do it on 0.3 or full release.
-who-: Just hearing they say "I don't know" is more interesting then watching the campfire stream
fvzi4861: It was a bit unfortunate that this interview was before patch notes, so you had to ask many specific questions that happened to be work in progress. But it's really not your fault, keep it up with the interviews!
djaw_: are these comments bots? swear poe community has the most insufferable, entitled, immature creatures ive ever come across
c-tothefourth4879: Wasn't a great interview, lot of obvious questions like do rogue exiles scale and also questions that they would've had to look into beforehand. Doesn't help that you crumble when GGG question a part of a question, like the on death effects. Poor showing, hopefully next time is better. Wish they would give others a chance.
whothehellisnicoj0nes: Do not understand or agree with the few people completely shitting on this format/style of interview. Y'all did great, this TT was very informative and didn't run over. Keep at it.
LuckyLogics01: Be nicer to the devs, that was crazy
LaloLampara123: Bad interview. Vibes were off. Ghazzy just throws questions at them as if he was talking to an AI. You should try having a frinedly conversation with them instead of just trying to get answers from them.
GetArkd: Really disappointing Tavern Talk this time around, and it seems the devs were quite dejected throughout as well. Mostly due to the hype specific questions e.g. "what are your thoughts on the radius of this specific skill gem" for over an hour back to back. This might be due to the interview taking place before the patch notes. But this felt like an episode of "Support Ticket Live" where we bombard the devs with your specific issue. Hopefully future episodes are more involved and dive into the patch and future plans better.
jayrig4712: Yo what are these comments. Why is Poe community so insufferable. On the GGG side they are one of the only Dev teams on the planet that would do this sort of interview. On the interview side, I feel like there was a reasonable split between questions that were technical and game/direction based. Did you guys even watch the full interview? There was a number of question related to game direction, eg. Enemy pushing and overall game pace, ailments, future crafting, overall expected player power.
SlimShady-hk8qp: Take a drink every time they say "fair enough" lol
blumsden09: Although Jonathan gave an abrupt answer to the trade question here, in the Destin interview, he says there's no plan to implement an in game trade house per se, however there are other trade improvements they want to make over the course of EA. Vague, yes, but more than what we usually get.
lordhokage2717: “Bloaters aren’t really a problem”
“Well it wasn’t me that struggles with them we got these questions from our chat”
