goodguygev: Honestly, all the changes this year is why i gave osrs a chance and switched from rs3. Especially the skilling updates
Nasty_J: You're 100% correct on being biased about leagues. It's content for maxed accounts bored of the regular game, that's why it was good in your perspective. It was fun to an extent, but I lost interest in a week myself I rather work on my real account.
GraverGames: I'm kinda tired of people acting like While Guthix Sleeps rewards are underwhelming. The tormented synapse is one of the most impactful items to get for an account that is progressing towards end-game. Emberlight/scorching bow for Kril, demonic gorillas, Duke, Zulrah, Cerberus, Sire, and tooons of the slayer grind (especially nice as you don't need to worry about charges for emberlight). Has totally changed the way I progressed my new ironman this year and has been an awesome alternative to grinding for an item like the bowfa
Hikarii349: 2024 was honestly a really good year for Osrs
stevegonzales527: Aaaaany bond buying enjoyers
queensofthedthrone8267: OSRS (imo...rpg) is cooking so well lately they can serve boiling water and win any cooking contest
nobodynothing1469: I am an ugly guy who bots on my main account because osrs is the only joy in life. Also. Im afraid of women
mr.13eefy: With having four children . Mobile update is my favorite
malcrossing: My favorite update of the year was Scurrius. I did not know how to prayer switch well or even how to use F keys. I practiced at Scurrius - fast forward and now it's EZ PZ thanks to the Rat King
newdoctor376: Really needed this after recently coming back, thanks man
Clenn_OSRS: Moons of peril made me rich. I got spooned on armor drops. Definitely my favorite update. Rsn: Clenn
savagejesusj: great videos lets goo! watching the whole thing!!! happy new years everybody!
PaladinfffLeeroy: I think my favourite update would be While Guthix Sleeps.
Varlamore Part1 is the 2nd.
Combat Rebalance the 3rd.
I love the quests in this game, the world, the lore, everything about it, really. So to see a super major event taking place like that that actually has some lasting effects on the NPCs we came to know is huge for me.
Combine the omega threat that the once crippled Lucien currently poses with Sliske having the Elder Horn that can enslave entire nations, and Lowerniel Drakan potentially getting word of the Stone of Jas having reappeared and been stolen, as well as the Dragonkin reawakening because of the stone and Lucien, this makes that quest single-handedly the best content imo.
Varlamore needs little explanation, really. The only thing wrong with it is NO REDWOOD TREES IN VARLA CUCKING ME OUT OF TASKS IN LEAGUES THAT SOMEHOW SHOW UP ON MY TASK LIST...
I have always thought it weird that the magic spells actually did not do anything after you unlocked the next one in line. Every single one of them was just: Fire is the best.
Now their elemental status actually matters a bit, and the best thing is that all of the spells now share the same max hit. That's awesome from a lore perspective too since your character grows in magical knowledge and power so why shouldn't the spells that use the same core rune?
Biased about Leagues? Yeah, I think so cause the Leagues has no effect on the main game for the most part besides cosmetics and market fluctuations. I don't think it is the best content this year, but still amazing and fun content.
Some will say it is only for max pvm players who already know everything, but I think a bigger part is newer players feeling less overwhelmed by the entire game as a whole. It adds some direction, offers a completely safe way of exploring new things they might not have done in the main game due to fear/being overwhelmed, and shows them what the later stages of the game are like much quicker than in the main game so the retention may be higher.
I've been watching an osrs vtuber be addicted to the Leagues and pushing through some mental hurdles to start doing some pvm. She never did pvm before, but actually kinda liked fighting Amoxliatl and Scurrius as well as beating the fight caves for the first time. Wouldn't seem like much for experienced players but to a new player that's pretty big.
RSN: Terwynn
Smartguy898: My favorite update/updates were the GOTR and Wintertodt changes. They made them so much better to play and took away all the frustrating aspects of them. RSN Murunix
California4321: This came right on time. I have been away from osrs for years but only got back a few days ago. Lfg
itsljo4546: My fav was the moon update with the barrows 2.0 Bosses since this gives more content for the midgame players and affects a lot of people. RSN - OS Ljo
ZachC20: My favorite update was the Windertodt warmth meter, huge quality of life! RSN - Kahpunga
Norpthalomus: Scurrius was my fave! Got my first 99s this year and spent a ton of time killing him
RSN- Norpthalomus
DelanovanHijkoop: Favorite update this year was The Hueycoatl. Just like the boss, fun mechanics and in my opinion the coolest pet in the game. RSN: FIamed
anannoyedpanda: Moons of peril are the best addition in a hot minute.
kubilaytuncer3723: 2025 will be a good year for osrs because of the new client with the plug ins and hd features. I'm sure many people are excited for sailing. But what I really hope to see is a rework of the outdated skilling mechanics. Like forestry did for woodcutting. They can do similar things to other skills to make it less repetitive and more fun and social. They can also add skilling bosses, minigames, areas with new mechanics, contracts etc. These will provide different ways to level up skills without feeling like an awful grind. I hope they do this more in 2025. This will add more to the game then a new skill like sailing.
RustyButCrusty: I always love to see Mobile updates and QOL things added for the players. Im mostly a mobile player and nervous/excited to give some of these mid level bosses a go. I got my fire cape so im feeling confident ! Im loving your content keep it up!
RSN: Teet Sipper
iTzRhythm1: Hi Kaoz, I literally started a week ago again and this video is perfect for myself. I really enjoy your content and was wondering how we, the viewers, could help you grow other than liking & subscribing. What would help you out the most personally?
Thank you for another year of great content and looking forward towards 2025!
sleepeanut: With all the new skilling changes I picked it up again after ~5 years
