Spookdog: desperately need the alchemist labcoat
thomas-jt5uy: was hoping this update was catered more towards early game herblore, yet even if you are 60 herblore the minigame feels so limited that it is still not worth doing until you reach late 70s and 80s, also minimum level to get the potion pack just feel stupid, at that lvl there is no point anymore of getting these packs. i dont mind the cost of points the reward cost, just feel like should already unlock the whole minigame at 60. and just get more xp the higher your level is.
ericbresnahan5910: 2 years sober in alcoholics anonymous love you mudkip <3
Kouteau614: It's so bad, it's boring as all hell, xp rate is comparable to cleaning herbs(I know it's supposed to be slower xp but damn), rewards are way too expensive, the herb spawns so rarely and stays barely a couple seconds, the bonus to craft faster are all bugged and you get orders for potions you don't have the level to make... All three of them, so you have to waste ingredients making a random potion to make it cycle.
graybleosrs: how is the dude who hoards items and never has bank space not hyped about saving 100 bank spaces with the potion storage lol
Blesses.: the rewards are insanely expensive from herb minigame
Fincher07: so in conclusion - things they could do to improve the minigame
1. rewards can be made cheaper
2. potion packs can be buffed
3. let us store WAY more than 300 of each paste in the hopper
4. the digweed should last longer, and maybe spawn a bit more frequently
5. the timing on speeding up the crystalise and homogenise stations should give an extra tick or 2 of lenience
6. this is my personal take, but just make the default speed of milling the herbs to be 1 tick instead of 2. seems kind of arbitrary to make this a "more effort for more reward" quirk when it's tedious and also a really insignificant part of the activity.
But with that said, I think the xp is balanced fairly, in fact it's good for ironmen and really good for UIMs. I think someone said that roughly you get twice the xp from herbs vs. if you were making potions normally. Sure it's 60-70k xp/hr, but considering the time you save from doing about half as many herb runs, and needing to gather secondaries, it's very good if the goal is purely xp. Irons will use the herbs that they have no need for in exchange for more xp, and use the rewards (goggles, chemistry ammy, regeant bag) to make the potions they do need - they have no reason to complain about the xp. As for mains, it's not an update for them, let's just get that out of the way. The intention was never to have this be the meta to gain xp (even though it kind of will be for irons/UIMs), so they'll be doing the minigame for purely the clog or some of the rewards. I think that's totally fine.
djbcubed: Minigame loop is decent, similar to giants foundry which is what I expected. Idk why the xp/hr is only like 20-30k/hr tho? seems way off when compared to giants foundry (which is like 60% of gold bar xp/hr) and mahogany homes (which is like 30-40% of normal xp/hr) this is like 8% of the normal 300k /hr herb xp I can get making attack potions and brews? "more xp per herb" is a negligible a benefit if it's 90% slower xp/hour.
MugsFull: -The digweed spawns upon fulfilment of an order so you just have to look out for it when you turn a potion in
-you can force spawn digweed by spamming failed potions but it doesn't seem worth it currently
-you can get possibly 70kxp/hr if you just spam failed potions but the points/hr suck
-the highest level ingredient you use in a failed potion is what you recieve 10 points in when you turn it in, so if you want to get a lot of green points to rebalance, you can spam turn in a bunch of BBG(MMA/mystic mana amalgum) or if you want red use BBR
TunnelSnakes_Rule: reagent pouch as in re-agent, not regent
Misypo: For the digweed herb to stop missing it use the chat notifications plugin and highlight the word matured so it gives you a notification everytime it spawns. It's pretty unbalanced how fast it despawn how it currently is but this way you won't really miss it.
