Zilkers: It feels like the devs are intentionally devaluing the rest of the content just to push endgame players toward the PvP island or the new raid. It's almost like they're forcing a lack of variety, making us grind only those two activities if we want to hit 725 endgame gear. Kind of disappointing that they're limiting the experience like this when there's so much potential in the game.

ОлегЖученко-ш4м: Yeah, gear score increase, sure, then what? The next update new gear score increase? Do devs even understand how hard is it to get gear? My god, this is completely out of touch. Also, time gating all those new items for max lvl gear - thats just the way to keep as many people online as possible. Very very stupid move, ain't nobody gonna spend month farming gear just to get hit by another gear score increase, basically making all your gear irrelevant and thus wasted month of life.

arcthepaladin2694: Some players argue its content, tbh i don't get why they're ok with gear score increases, sure its ok with them, for a time its ok with me as well, but I have to admit when im wrong tho, the fact is its driving MAJORITY of the player base away, ALL of the players in my guild quit because they didn't want to grind for a new gear score again, ALL I'm not exaggerating and each one of them grinded to 600 -> 625 -> 700 on loop each increase more and more players got tired of the same cycle, defend it all you want but the writing is in the walls at this point, it drives players away.

doing the same mind numbing grind all over again for a small bump increase for the 4th time, no thanks, devaluing old content as well these devs are tone deaf.

So ags is basicaly sayin "here you go you waited a year for this, but all the content you bought is irrelevant now and all you will have to do to progress is that pvp island and that raid once a week".

It wouldn't be worth my time or energy to return to New World because the changes they've made don't address the core issues that caused me to quit in the first place. Simply increasing the gear score from 625 to 725 without adding substantial, meaningful content means that the grind continues with no real payoff in terms of new experiences or fun mechanics. The lack of new PvE content beyond a single time-gated 10-person raid shows a failure to provide variety or depth, which is critical for keeping players engaged long-term.

Time-gating the raid to once per week, combined with a relatively low drop rate of 35% per boss for upgrade materials, feels like an artificial way to prolong the grind without offering real enjoyment. It forces players into a repetitive loop of logging in each week, hoping for drops, which can quickly become frustrating. Since I don’t play PvP, the addition of just one new PvP zone does nothing to enhance my experience, making the update feel empty for someone like me.

This is a classic case of poor game management, where developers focus on extending the lifespan of the game with shallow updates instead of fixing fundamental issues or adding engaging, diverse content. Without meaningful change, investing more time and energy in this game would just be a waste.
