So, it's a win win for AGS. They get to make an example of what happens to cheaters and then they make more money from them when they have to pay for a new account.

decisive6041: Regardless of the situation or whether or not they issued a warning when the bug happened or the opinion of the some of community members about the situation; this is AGS fault, their screw up, and they are too arrogant to admit that but instead they punish the customer. They will have to refund any actual money paid by the gamers to have access to play the game plus any money gamers spent on their store for vanity items.

Odseus: I'm starting to think they don't have the ability to do roll backs easily. Why do it this way? It seems completely unnecessary. A few hours would've been lost.

Devs took the restrictions off of the world transfers. Players transferred to enhance their "enjoyment" (almost impossible to find fun in this game), so the devs blame the players for not being mind readers... with theft from players and bans on players. The whole point of transfers is to move a leveled toon with inventory to another server. It is not an exploit nor a cheat. It is a straight-up pay for transfer. Devs should have just kept the servers open to transfer, after they (mistakenly) allowed it. The game is so unbalanced that few can even refine and craft, so transferring toons actually help the economy.

In the past, the devs have done lying and ruining servers' economies though forced mergers, while not caring one bit. The whole game is trash, and always has been. Anyone that continues with this knows the devs will do whatever they want, while lying, cheating and stealing from players/ customers. Remember this when these devs put out any future trash games.

Bluedemonde: I am glad that we agree that other exploits don't get punishments enough (if any at all) although we disagree on the recent people getting Banned (perma or not).

So many games are ruined by cheaters/exploiters, especially games with PVP. Companies need to make examples of these people at any chance they get.

Regardless of how small the offense, there should be ramifications. You would think that with how exploit happy this community has been since the very beginning, AGS would have sent this message out years ago.

The lesson here is simple, have some integrity, play the game as it is intended and if something doesn't seem right, don't do it.
