Persnicidy619: Gems are a bit different than transcendence/honing (and kindof also elixirs) in that changing gems allows for changing builds, so adjusting gems to a system that allows for easier flexibility doesn't have to extend to those other systems.

On the idea of "build flexibility" being the goal of updating the gem system, roster wide progression does not directly solve swapping builds within a character.

The two issues directly combated by roster wide gems is the fiddly trading between rosters and the overwhelming cost of maintaining multiple characters, otherwise each character could have a separate track of gems which could be changed to any ability (like event gems) and saved as different presets if the only goal was "build flexibility".

trafalgarlaw1727: Make the gems roster wide, increase the gem lvl cap to 12, so even if someone has lvl 10 gems on all 6 characters, after converting they would ahve 5 lvl 12 gems and 7 lvl 11 gems and if they want they can work on getting all 12, as for me im sitting on one char with lvl 8's and all my alts on lvl 6's, so im not worried

maruzinho25: True, gems will increase value if they make then roster, because plp will farm like crazy to get lvl 10 gems, and today those gems are only for whales, i guess they can do some "ester gems" for whalles.

dasguten4084: yea doing the math i would only have 6 level 10 gems if i combined everything and that is a lot of time for all those gems put in. 11 10s would take a while still at least 6 months to a year. My account too is an outlier in terms of long playtime and heavily played with some swipes

TyroneBigguns-mk3og: Lets be honest. Stop being dumb saying roster wide gems won't crash the market. It would the same way if you had roster wide honing the mat market would crash. People saying they would buy more and all that BS won't buy them unless the value crashes.

That being said it would be a good thing to make them roster for the players. If they introduce lvl 11 and 12 then its a bad thing as its just moving the bar. That would make it so if you don't have 9's and 10's you will be gatekept.

Samps76: You can't just make them roster wide. Everyone would have straight 10s.
