Izurag: New players? Well, let's see what a new player needs to do to experience the new t4 update:
- Get LoS30! How? Nobody knows!
- Get at least full lvl 9 gems on one character. That's around 700 - 800 k gold. A piece of cake for people who have thousands of bound gold, amirite?
- Hone your character to 1620. The cost varies but we are talking in the hundreds of thousands again.
- Get 40set
- Get lvl 7 Transcendence.
- You think your 5x3 engraving support ass is getting into a lobby? Better get those legendary books!
- Depending on how you start the game you will need to get tripods and at least a 7/7 stone (upgrade to ancient, of course)
- Don't forget the horizontal progression - runes, stat and skill pots.
- Roster level! Maybe you thought you can play only one character but no - you will have to play multiple and do story quests on all to get 150 roster, or else you can forget about playing raids with other people!

Smilegate and AGS have to make some REALLY big changes if they want to retain new player in this game...

rc8929: For new players to stay they basically need a raid ready Echidna hard character to realistically get them to equal how almost all other MMOs handle new tiers.

Just imagine how much gold/time/power that must be given to get accepted into an Echidna hard pug lobby (which should be the measuring stick as we still have vertical progression locked behind that version of the raid).
ohsnation1314: Not going to cap hop back on for the first time yesterday and genuinely feel like I wouldn’t have been able to progress even where I’m at now if it wasn’t for the event because you know where I’m at now I can’t even get into Brachaza(?) raid and yes I did most of the previous raids as well but solo n I play a support artist so it was a really “fun” time
Mitsugi30: The principal problem for new players are the card system. I bring back friends to the game and after a few months they rage quit the game cause they are gatekept for cards in every content. U can help them sometimes but u cant help them when they start to play 3 or more characters. That game provides u too much mats and gold to have some charactars at 1600-1620 but u are not being acepted in party cause card set. That is the vision os a player who are playing for more than 2 years withouy a stop and try to bring to the game new or backing players. Each one have the same problem with gatekept with the cards. And solo mode is not the solution for people who want to play and mmo with ppl, SG want new players to do solo mode with 6 chars for half a year or a year for obtain los30 for play with ppl in rral raids? That not the solution, there wont be new potentials players ir they are not fixing card sets for new players
