We are not getting enough updates in Guild Wars 2...

alimendil4257: I think GW2 just lost its touch when it comes to the stories. Yes they can be cool with JW (SoTo was bad). However, the themes are just bland at best. They shy away from hard choices and more "mature" themes. I think maybe they want to keep the game PG 12 or something. But I hope they actually get back to making death, character development, conflict and all the "hard stuff" matter! To give an example. I'm kinda terrified of Orr and its maps. Like that place makes me so unconfortable in such a good way. HOT and POF are cool too.

Also, Expansion updates without a new map are just a NO for me. There was so little to do in the last update that I basically finished in no time..; Did the raid that same night and then went back to my old habbits!

XTAKU.: The new annual expansions don’t feel dense enough with content to warrant even existing. We get maybe an hour of story content every 3 months, a few armor sets, a few quests, no real changes for PvP or WvW, a convoluted Easter egg hunt to get a legendary item, and a lot of black lion skins on the regular. Gw2 has fallen off in my opinion. I’d rather them take 2 - 3 years on the expansions than the new annual model.

Cameron_David_: The same thing happened in SOTO when we were stuck in Nayos for a year. The mid points of these expansion cycles are kind of dead but we are not paying a subscription so it is what it is.

TheNightman.: Been a support of Anet since GW1, bought all the expansions, had one of every class maxed out with best gear. Enjoyed the move to GW2 although was sad to see end of 1, thankfully they keep it running. GW2 supported all the way through until the most recent expansion for Cantha, felt it was a disappointment in size, scale, and especially the writing. Completed it but absolutely despised the open world raid which they blindly refused to acknowledge is and issue and still think it's good, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Started to just login for daily wizards tower stuff and logout. I've competed in all of the raids (don't touch pvp at all), played through story stuff, got multiple characters on multiple builds, was hopefully awaiting the next step of their journey with the demon and magic stuff because I skipped the post-story stuff, had no interest at all.

Didn't even finish the story for it, noticed the massive drop in quality for writing even further than the last expansion. Logged in enough to get the weapon mastery proficiency stuff so characters could equip everything, though hated how they did it.

I used to buy (and pre-order) GW2s stuff at the highest level because I wanted to support them and their vision, the latest expansion into Janthir, I bought it at the lowest price after it came out, but haven't even unlocked land spears.

I feel like engagement with the game is at an all time low, interest in the game is at an all time low, the writing is abysmal, the designs are just eh at best. They've lost their touch in a big way and it shows.

I'd honestly give GW2 a year or two at best before they either have to pull something big out of their ass, or just drop it and move on.

What they are doing now, is not working at all

GeminiKLY: They put out a schedule in the Fall which they have been sticking to. Yes, one patch is delayed a few weeks but, ok, stuff happens. I don’t see the problem here. This video is just farming drama.

Rel-qm2gh: The problem is us consumers. ArenaNet gives us a huge shit and we wait in line to eat.

At least I haven't logged in for months.

Their content gets worse over time and people DON'T complain, they just keep applauding them and the game is really boring.

And the Twitch numbers support the theory that Anet is doing EVERYTHING wrong.

Nex123: They literally made an announcement to a preview.... what are we doing here....

gustavheinrich5565: Announcing GW3 early would be the most stupid thing ANet could do. They'd instantly kill the game and their revenue. Nobody is spending on a game with an expiration date.

The best thing for them - even if you don't like it - is just to shut the f up and keep working on whatever they are cooking.

michu1247: They better make good new game because GW2 seems abandoned.

I not only can't convince friends to play it with me. I don't want to convince them because I don't believe in this project anymore.

Its not doing enough to recommend it.

I love this game but I feel like I finished it it is done.

Too many of my guilds died I don't want to look for another group anymore I am playing this game alone and it feels like I cant play it fully without the group but its too big of a pain in the ass to find dedicated group that I would like. Its almost impossible to play with pugs because growing amount of kill proofs that people need creates huge fomo and makes it terrible for new players or people who don't have time to play every day.

ArenaNet is changing its mind about what they are doing every half year coming up with new plan that they are stopping half way to start new plan.

Its just fucked.

I want it to be good but I lost hope that anything will matter to me in this game.

ByteSizedBlisss: it is obvious that 85% of Anet are working on their new secret project. Gw2 is over lads, it wont get better

Moinsen15: Lets be real: Balancing is really not anything many Gw2 players care about. It is just those that are heavily invested in the game. So I just think they had more "important" stuff to work on and decided to move the balance patch. No need to doom here and bring up the "Gw2 is not in a good state" discussion.

ElInicuo-u5b: It seems like they don't want to put anything new and novel in order to put all their effort into GW3, which will arrive in a few years.

I used to recommend GW2, but I don't do it anymore, not even if I mention it by chance... anet zzzzzzzzzzzz

And there is something that nobody talks about or complains about or anything, in WvW 3 servers get together to fight and SkillLag is triggered. Three servers can't be together because the game breaks, it's ridiculous.

jacobruiter592: I am a returning player, and from what I have read after PoF there was a 5 year hiatus?

How is getting more decent content a bad thing?

Granted the balance patch being pushed back feels bad, especially considering players dislike the current PvP and WvW scene. I guess it would've been nice to at least have a small explanation as to why it got delayed(needs more time, not enough staff, we had a breakthrough and wanted to implement it in time, etc).

RyuDouro: Just like Palworld Devs said.

Enjoy the game, play other games, come back when they do an update. No rush.

EMG660: sounds like they are moving on to other games if you ask me. I don't blame them. it's about making money.

mebrandonb: The once a year mini expansions don't feel good. I'd rather they combine 2 mini expansions into 1 and just release them every 2 years instead. There just doesn't feel like there's enough to do with the current roll out, and the pacing of the story takes a massive hit because of how much it gets chopped up.

SilhouetteGaming1: Well, Well, Well...

timothydonovan5647: I remember doing the meta train with this guy, HS and OTC yeaaars ago. Sad to see the game still suffers like this.

LegendarySSSparda: I just started some years ago and I'm going through IBS now, so I'm living the best times. I was hearing that SOTO was meh, that JW recovered, but last patch was too short. It seems like the game is thriving in general, but it's following a dangerous path with these mini expacs and it has to acknowledge it soon. I liked last post when they acknowledged the issues, so I feel they can continue improving.

Last tuesday the new shiny store item was a pack with old stuff reused. And the new stuff was a black lion item. Those small things start to feel like "only that?", at least from my side where I still did not play last content. Though it brought housing that, as I know, is super well made, and to me that feels super worth and a good work

thehohcollective5201: This is a totally fair stance to have in all seriousness. I haven’t played in ages.

asunarry: Man I wish, they communicated more. The amount of content is "fine" for me, because I started after SOTO, I can do my legy's etc, but it sucks that there are not enough groups for the contents and it defenietly does not help that big names announced that they are moving away.

By the way nice videos, keep it up!

BlueFlopy: Normally (at least how it went all this time) is they announce the preview stream, then 2 weeks after the stream the patch hits but on a Tuesday as usual which is ~2weeks after the stream since the stream itself is not on a Tuesday.

But yes, need more updates less lazy posts.

vincentparagas9162: im still on my legendary armor secrets of the obscure , i have not done yet.

markus.schiefer: I recently suffered through WvW to get Conflux and it was a horribly unfun experience.

The time gate is bad, the required time investment per week is bad, and most importantly, the gameplay is bad.

If I was a top PvP player I would be even more angry looking at what's going on there, because it's even worse than Cyrodiil, and that's saying something.

And the last patch hardly helped and made me wonder how disconnected the developers are.

mroverseer4865: I sadly have stopped playing due to lack of content that fits my needs. I really do love the game but it's hard to play when a lot of things aren't meant for my playstyle or centered around gameplay I enjoy.

DarthJane: The problem is that the new "expansions" so far were less content than any Living World season previously, plus it is even less polished and mostly reuses assets. I completely lost interest in any content post End of Dragons.
