dfg12382: New weapons don't increase variety sadly. If they are good, they'll just delete other weapons from being used. 80% of the weapons don't get any play on most classes already.
whyisthisathingnow...: Ele spear is more than I hoped for, really excited to play some real ranged bursty spec in pve and wvw for a change
kaponos: Extremely funny that a single meteor is going to be more dps than a meteor shower. The absolute state of staff.
As beautiful as the ele spear skills are it does make the rest of the game's skills look kind of trash by comparison, maybe the game needs and art update so the difference isn't so jarring.
Midaspl: I feel quite the opposite about the tier-list from PvE perspective. Warrior, Engi, Mesmer and maybe Thief and Rev (depending on scaling) have higher chance of being meta for DPS dealers in PvE. Other weapons have a lot of utility, but that does not leave much room for just DPS in the kit.

xecor4450: I think cmc hydrating himself is a sign that he thinks that patch will be good. Because every stream where he gave into the hydration meme selectively has been pog and the ones where he didnt, not so much.

Ficohaker: I will be honest, when talking about players not contributing, I don't think its born out of commander system as you mentioned teapot, quite the opposite I would argue ( although there is some merit to commander system making it easier), when you treat a game as a singleplayer game with coop aspects, and that game then continues to develop itself in that way, developers promote and incentivise that kind of behaviour while actively punishing any players looking for high engagement content and no updates to that content being given in a decade, you just end up gathering those people in your game in majority (serious numbers).

I would say the only solution is for the devs to actively change the picture and alienate that type of playstyle and players if they want change, otherwise the game will stagnate even worse then this, but honestly at this point its probably beyond salvation and any kind of repair
