Fawstah: I only caught the hours of tech issues before I had to go
greschenglin-dz7wj: Oh dang. Really didn't expect Roze to fully understand the Asura so quickly and entirely, despite him hating them.
Or maybe he IS an Asura main???
GamblingDedicated: I feel cheated without the hour and a half of tech aneurysm
lunarvvolf9606: Didn't get 5 seconds play before having to comment. Please tell me a church didn't actually put that in their signage.
visschers16: you guys should do more together this was very entertaining
kairaaitken938: Because your humour is so irreverent I love Mukluk's face whenever you go into "engineering" mode. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Mukluk knows you're an analytical person, but it's often disguised under your sense of humour. It's like knowing that somebody with no legs can beat you in a race theoretically VS actually seeing them beat you in a race. I think it's also why Mukluk is alert, even when you're being serious and analytical. Because he knows you aren't just analyzing what he's saying for informational purposes, but also analyzing for any jokes
vidaliver1447: There's a wonderful Mechanist build where half of your abilities are put on autocast and your mech does them without your involvement at all, the other half of abilities are signets like " 10% damage passively, cc when you activate", so you never ever touch them except for specific moments. All you care on such builds is your positioning and a couple of weapon skills, and you will totally be able to focus on the mechanics of the fights and you will have 1-2 buttons to press in this or that scenario (cc, shadowstep out of danger etc). Highly recommend!
Ask your chat or like map chat in the game to help you with getting hero points if anything, every hero challenge in expansions give 10 hero points at once, so you only need to complete like 20-25 of those. There's a lot of portals, turtle mount etc so carrying you around is not a real issue if people know what they're doing. Honestly, i do a repeatable HP run in HoT almost every day (it gives good loot) and it takes less than an hour. Full exotic set would cost 20-40g. This would make your gaming so much easier and you would actually be welcomed in 99% of the content as a person who's pulling his weight.
p.s. i disagree with Muk almost completely on his priority list. Hero points? Yes, it's a musthave to be able to play the game. But then story-masteries-mobility... You see, completing a story chapter gives a mastery point, so what he didn't tell you here is he understands what you asking differently. You're asking if you should focus on mastery points, his understanding is "when i'm done with the story, should i prioritise maxing out mastery points, including the most problematic to get". Because, again, just playing through story gives you main QoL mastery points you need, you only need to do specific "mastery point getting" stuff to level very niche masteries, like ability to trade with legendary vendors, ability to travel through underground tunnels in HoT, which no one cares about, etc.
The road to mobility is:
1 PoF story 4 mount hearts give you raptor, springler, skimmer and jackal. Each of them costs ~2 gold and 5 minutes to complete the heart. They have prerequisite of "your previous mount has to have 3 mastery levelled", which is why it would take a bit of time to get there. Overall it's possible to complete all of this within like ~8 hours window. When you're done with first mount, ask map chat how to get to the heart with another one, do the story along the way, ez;
2 HoT story, picking up mastery boxes and mastery insights along the way. Prioritise:
glider
glider updraft
bouncing mushroom
exalted markings
There, you have 95% of mobility in the game you will ever need. Everything else is "how to get to the place faster, with bonus style points" etc, not "i can't get to the place". All the listed stuff can be acquired within a couple of days, that's mobility coverage for you. Story gives mastery points and exp to level them, masteries give mobility. This is all interconnected.
Hope this helps :D
jonamar3965: Veterans will always get mad if you say you got your skyscale from soto.
713Lord: muk assumes there is a "filter". Good on him but... nah.
sw-gs: Roze is like inserting Deadpool into any live action Disney kids movie.
Mukluk is like making Friday The 13th movie where Jason gives everyone flowers instead killing them.
bosunbones.8815: 1 minute in and i can't tell if this is live / real or an elaborate Roze hoax/meme video.
StagWithLag: Also the thing to try is wvw. I thought initially when I finished the game story I'm gonna leave it forever then now i play wvw and played more in the last 3 years than I did in the previous 7 before that
AJtux: Just hit 80? Just kliled Zhaitan? They give you crap for gear rewards. First Order of Business...Head on over to the TP and get 6 pieces of "named" gear, throw some cheap runes on it, then join any group doing any thing, use the LFG
legeul: Indeed, norns are still pure, and must be protected from the evils that are Asuras and their "technology"
Norns are the first case of dragon corruption being done, since 250 years ago in GW1, Svanir was corrupted by Jormag, atleast of the top of my head.
Also Norns are the only race who managed to, injure an elder dragon, by themselves for the most part, and the Jormag Fang is on display in Hoelbrak. They also killed Frostfang who was a jormag champion, but we had already killed the Great Destroyer back in GW1. And this was done by a single norn juiced by the spirits of the wild a weapon inbued with fire magic from some jotun magic scrool, before having to run away to the south.
On other hand, Asuras with all their technology still had to run away from Primordius, kek.
I also find it funny how Norns had to deal with jormag which is the more cunning of the dragons, meanwhile Asuras had to deal with Primordius which is just a big ole brute.
But yeah Humans and Charrs are easily at the top of the tier list, they have so much lore to them.
The Sylvari being Modremmoth's minions was....kinda obvious when you think about it. They are the only race that's immune to the dragon's corruption, that alone was enough to make people suspicious.
And if i am not mistaken, in GW1 if you go to Arbor Bay, you can actualy find what would later become the Plate Tree, in Ventari's Sanctuary.
tacr1t958: First bois
Tigerlilly5555: There is lore about Sylvari. If you played GW1, Eye of the North (EoTN) expac, you do a Quest that involves a Shaman Centaur. Btw.this Centaur is one of the only friendly Centaurs in the GW1's Maguma Jungle. The friendly Centaur Tribes in Dry Top are his descendant followers.
So basically Sylvri Lore begins with this Shaman. In EoTN, you do a Quest, where you go to a small copse of wood besides a wetland area. It's a very pretty, isolated place and then the Centaur plants a seed in this place. He then places a number of stone tablets around the seed with ideological tenets carved onto them.
So in GW2, you hear Sylvari's constantly citing those tenets when they interact with the player, or among themselves. For eg: "All life has the right to grow" is a sayings inscribed on one of the tablets.
Granted, they should have been a better intro to them in GW2, because not everyone has played GW1, or EoTH, or even the above quest and wouldn't know about this Lore. I guess for these very reasons, it was simpler to leave it a mystery.
elocfreidon: The most important thing you can do to make the gold, to get the best in game glam, the top builds, and to see all the cool shit. Play through the story and look through the achievements for each chapter. It takes you to where all the content is.
carmillaaaa: Useful tip for playing any group/meta content with bad latency : Don’t range and dodge, just stack on the boss, the players around you will give give you buffs like stability and healing so that you don’t have to dodge. It also makes it easy for people to revive you if you get downed.
vdrandom: After playing for a few years I feel like I needed a reminder on how actually awesome GW2 is. Thank you gentlemen for giving me just that. What a beautiful game indeed.
Also good job keeping it PG13. Must have been pretty damn hard.
leftrom9738: A long-awaited streamers-collab, nice! I'm watching the uncensored version (your version), for better immersion
traveling.down.the.road56: Did I hear Roze correctly when he said “I’ve been playing GW2 for 7 years”? And he still doesn’t know how to play the game.
Entertaining video just the same, so thanks for the time and effort to make this.
joshuaherring9674: Muk seems so stressed this entire conversation
CyberDoedel: Thank you for making this video, fellow human. I, too, like Gen 3 bacon.
The_Caracal: I love this bromance.
