As to transfusion, I feel like a good way to keep it in the game would be to make in work like Function Gyro: Increase the CD on it for each person you pull. Outright deleting the pull just completely kills the class identity.

Like what’s the point of Heal Scourge if I can just use Heal Chrono, be a way better healer, have way more utilities AND have a better revive tool anyways lol

Also removing the ONE thing that made Necro Spear worth using is so dumb, now you have a very predictable weapon that’s easily dodgeable and you won’t even be able to “Extirpate” enemies anymore bruh
elocfreidon: I remember the first time you brought up Necro having the revive that pulls players out of harm's way. No game really has the ability to pull your downed allies out of danger, which is a mechanic that makes the most sense in these kinds of games. It's gone now.
pizzatonno3361: I feel lost, transfusion made me want to play scourge. They took away my fun. Tried all classes but scourge is the one I choose and sticked with. It's gone now. Not interested in other classes. I was just doing my warclaw treasure thing and stop playing. The feel is gone. Not sure where to go from here, they need to add it back. They need to make scourge, scourge again.
herbaceousboredom9584: I said it a long while ago but some of these changes feel like Anet's continuing crusade to bland-ify all the classes: give all classes access to all the weapons; give all classes access to all the buffs / conditions. Soon the only difference between the classes will be the colour of their pyrotechnics. It feels like they have conflated making all classes the same with having equal but distinct classes you can pick to suit your play style and your idea of fun. I sometimes wonder why they don't just replace all the classes with one that can do everything, and has nice, safe, grey / brown pyrotechnics, and which nobody enjoys :D
Dropem7777: It makes no sense to remove the teleport since the ranger has search and rescue. The Necromancer is by the name a Necromancer, they raise the dead. Therefore, they should be reviving people like crazy.
flippy_: It is insane they don't change willbender for wvw at least. 1000x ports and movement skills, blocking all, invulnerable, cleansing and healing PLUS huge damage. But killing the necro spear 5 and nerfing scourge heal. This feels out of touch. At least cele gear is gone.
lanceheartclaw972: Ill be honest, using transfusion was some of the most fun playing healscourge. And whats best is that it does have a decent skill ceiling. Examples of that being:
- KO cm - pulling someone who messed up the numbers mechanic right as the circle appears under them but before the first tick of damage defeats the ally
- Cerus CM drops - theres very precise reactive timing you need to save lives on drops if someone doesnt distort or whatever other reason
- HT cm and Samarog/other painful shockwaves. Specificaply in htcm if one shockwave downs an ally (assuming stability is applied and the ally doesnt fly off the map) - you can transfuse that ally through another incoming shockwave and save them from certain death. Again, the timing is tricky

Basically, all i wanna say is that its a great tool that is both extremely fun and not trivial to master - imo thats what makes a great ability in any game
Yes, tuning might be needed, especially in wvw with tens of scourges rotating their resses, but thats resolvable
Someguyhere111: Transfusion felt perfectly balanced to me. Scourge doesn't do as much in healing as other classes, it's more barrier/reducing damage, and Downed state is super hard to get out of in Instanced content, especially if you go down in an AOE field (some attacks might as well just skip the Downed state). Plus the F4 skill has to be off cooldown to use it anyway.

Maybe they could've put the ally pull on a cooldown? But not remove it entirely, that's just dumb.

I hate when ANet removes unique class features like this that make them stand out. Like when they removed Chill doing damage for Reaper, just replaced it with Chill inflicting Bleed. Can't wait for Minions to be turned into summons that only stay on the field for a limited time XD

I'm sad to see the change to Helmet Breaker - it's such a good CC and freed me from having to take Basilisk Venom into boss fights that needed heavy CC, now I gotta take it back into fights >< It's not like Thief is hurting for options to evade, so more access to Debilitating Arc seems like a poor trade-off
VacuumTube88: Guildwars balance team works like this: Rotation Nerfs, they will nerf and boost professions on a cycle so that people play different classes and the meta changes inside events/content (investing ingame money and effort into other characters and shop usage for customizzation and gold/gems purchase), the problem is that this, in the long run, kills the will of players that like a more roleplay aspect of a MMORPG or simple character favourites and player stiles; it's the baseline factor that negatively affects the RPG aspect of the game in favor or pure stat meta players, you need to be on the spot, updated to the new changes or you get cut out of content / struggle to get in if you are not in the meta, even being a lot of players and guild that help / train others to access "harder" game contents.
It killed the soul of the game.

maevebelleaqua918: I was very unhappy when Anet nerfed Scourge's rez ability last year. I am irate now with these proposed changes to Transfusion. I am just going to quit the game and spend my money on other MMOs if the changes go through. I'm tired of Scourge getting crapped on. Bye Anet.

tyburkulosis8799: You know what would be cool? Give necros the ability to quickly rez fully dead allies as undead, with the caveat that the allies do half damage until out of combat. Kinda like how Joko revives us in twilight oasis, but we're not as good as him of course. Not a single healer is able to do that, and it fits the necro fantasy more imo, so it'd be unique and they could tweak the cd and target cap so it's not op.

The hit to transfusion was probably necessary so they could improve hscourge in other areas without making them op, but its disappointing they didn't include any improvements with the nerf. Would love to see more stab and some healing that's not regen or barrier, or perhaps the ability to transfer barrier into healing for situations where you need a burst heal for an ally that has to leave the stack. Barrier only lasts 5 seconds without refresh and sometimes in fractals it can get dicey when people have to run away for mechanics or instabilities.

i member when epidemic transferred ALL conditions for FULL duration, i'd rather scg be back to hugging the bottom of benchmarks but have strong class identity and niche situations where it would outshine everyone
ToukaGontier: Hoping Anet can find a middle ground with transfusion pulling. Atleast give a nerf first before outright removing it.
Suggested making it similar to engi function gyro (cap it at 3 people and add a recharge cooldown per person). It would give them numbers to change around (the cap and recharge CD), and alacrity should still be able to be upkept with the longer CD after reviving.

The engineer might on kinetic accelerator I would of loved to of seen been fury (or both fury and might) as currently heal scrapper relies on a relic just for fury and is overcapping might already. Does help out the boon DPS builds so can't complain, but would of loved to of seen fury personally.

Surprised they didn't buff power mirage to, it seemed like they wanted a power mirage build after introducing spear but haven't seemed to put any more time into it.

Also no Engi spear 2 fix still... (yes it still won't work if your ping isn't perfect) :c
SkiGlovesie: One of my favourite parts of playing Spectre was stealing down state from teammates. So while I'm not a Necromancer player I think I understand the pain of the transfusion change. That's been Necromancer's essential utility that made it worth bringing to a group all the way back at the specializations update.
