Robert-772: informative as usually but you left off that for those that dont care about the story you can purchase the spear mastery from the heroics notary vendor for 500 jade heroics but while it gives access to the land based spear usages it does not tick off the lowland spear training mastery which you need if you want to continue the story at some point.

cattysplat: Moving all these mastery unlocks to NPCs and quest givers is a nice idea. But the GW2 UI just doesn't do a good job of pointing out important quest givers (only Hearts are big and easy to find), just a tiny icon that gets lost on a map of tiny icons. There's a reason why BlishUI has toggles for nearly every map UI icon to be bigger and visible in the actual gameworld.
