opusfluke2354: If you're coming back or just starting you are going to LOVE this! Forget Secrets of the Obscure: that was the first time they were trying a brand new format. Even the devs admit they dropped the ball. They learned. And it is just sooo gooood. The maps. The soundtrack. The Events. They literally said "sorry" and gave us the biggest box of chocolates they could get to apologise. And a HOUSE!
MusPuiDiTe: This might be the best expansion start we ever had: hope it keeps going like this!! And somehow gives more GW1 vibes than the rest of GW2
jerod4036: Sadly I haven't been able to play the expansion much. Only been able to play about 3 hours of it so far. The story so far (not that I've gotten very deep into it) has been better than SOTO and the new weapons have been much better than SOTO as well. Also... BEES!!!!!!!!!! The bees were a very pleasant and cute surprise. Haven't gotten to the homesteads yet, but from everything they previewed ahead of time and from I've heard people saying, I doubt I'll be disappointed.
heylookitsnana: That boss fight footage looks really fun. I remember doing some Xmas related boss in some event instance and I was really happy to be able to get uptime on Thief on it by employing some FFXIV knowledge. It seems like the footage you showed of Springhearted feels like a ffxiv fight too.
kjo5280: Just finished the story. It is good. The only problem for me is I have to level 8 other alts and doing the "non-skippable" story dialogues is making me shiver.
Bernsong: As someone who have been there for the last 12 years, I really love the start of this expansion and Janthir's world looks amazing.
TGC1775: It’s too grindy to catch up imo. Needs to be like ffxiv. Masteries are a joke.
williamgeorge2580: Okay, I'll be the Debbie Downer in the comments... Icebrood Saga also started out spectacularly. SOTO had a strong opening too. And while SOTO didn't shit the bed like IBS did (I meant to do that) I'm planning on keeping my wallet closed until another installment or two come out.

mismismism: I like Janthir way more than SotO so far but it does have some issues. Long winded dialogue, talk to like 40 people before another monologue, it's unskippable, that's horrible when we need to replay on alts. Also had a big bug where the heart of the obscure didn't work so I luckily had the time to just fly around until I found the rifts but the green bars are already annoying so to have one not work properly blocking progress is not cute. And I'm not a fan of the enemies with the never ending puddles, I'm enjoying Mesmer spear but so often I felt forced to greatsword or dagger because the enemy is constantly standing in a giant damage puddle. And I hate the champions running away and needing to be chained, if they did that once it would be fine but it wasted so much time.

All that said, that's not a lot of cons, I'm having a blast overall, it's a big improvement from SotO.
hugonoya: If a buy this expension i start at it? Or still need to level up from zero?
