YoshiP just teased FFXIV 24man Savage Raids...

oriji8139: if they make it extreme level difficulty, it'll be great, if they make it ACTUALLY savage I see this flopping

ElenaTheMenace: Baldesion Arsenal is literally my favourite instance in the entire game, it was such a long haul to get there, but the challenge was more in co-operation than individual play. There was still a requirement to execute mechanics but the teamwork element was a different kind of fun. I absolutely loved it and the elation when I finally got my Ozma mount was massive!

brialyncroi: So glad they're continuing to try new things. Might not be my thing, but if it makes a portion of the community happy then it's great!

oriji8139: if they can copy the feeling of something like Castrum Lascus Latorie into these savage raids it would be awesome.

rowdyretromoose: I mean, they SORTA have experimented with it back in the day. Eureka's Baldesion Arsenal was the first case of it, then we have DRS Savage from the Bozjan content. I'd like to think a 24-player savage akin to DRS would be easier to gather more people and have even semi-regular runs. Just need a good reward structure to go with it. Interested to see what their idea of it ACTUALLY is.

andrewclear8905: Quazi, you can still do Baldesion Arsenal these days. Groups still ran it often, because it is awesome content and people still love doing Eureka.

andrewclear8905: Delibrum Savage is a 24 man savage raid, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see another one tied to the new exploration content.

Other than that, the only thing I could possibly see them doing is making savage versions of Alliance raids.

BaithNa: Why would anyone be against this? Its just more content for us.

Derekloffin: Hmm, wonder how they would implement this. All the difficult content to do date has been individualized and you jump right into the boss. All the 24 mans are set up as dungeons, not only making you go through trash, but also chaining the bosses. So I wonder if they'd rework that so that the bosses are individual or if they'd retain the dungeon feel just up the difficulty.

I can totally see the first target being Crystal tower. It is SOoooo old now that even extreme self imposed nerfs can't see the full set of mechanics of certain bosses. Just rebalancing it so all the mechanics have to be done and respected would be great, and if they did do a savage version, I can see them initially reworking the original version a little to fix some of those issues.

rossker123: This seems like a response to folks who were complaining that the endwalker alliance raids were too easy (especially the last one). It would be neat to form alliances with our friend's statics and get folks together.
