NeoDMC: TBN was great in SB/ShB...the fact that they haven't upgraded it yet is insane. Like just a crumb of upgrade would make a world of difference for DRK.

LeonLupin: I agree that gap closers don't need damage, it's stupid and having to insert them into burst windows for extra DPS is cringe and can easily fuck up mechanics if you hit your buttons braindead.
But I have to say that getting rid of one of Squall's most iconic moves Rough Divide, was such a punch in the gut for me as an extremely big FF8 fan, GNB has all of these skills that are inspired by his moves, such as his final Limit Break Lionheart, but they got rid of the Limit Break move you see the most and replaced it with a boring ass slide forward animation. This to me was so unnecessary and actual downgrade.
Harbinger421: Drk really needs a rework to TBN, LD and Drastically needs better self healing management...

Kheapathic: Old Plunge was better because the animation was a flip, as opposed to the quickstep we have now.

TenebrisGladius: I'm loving all this comotion about DRK: I've actually started playing XIV just because of how much i loved the idea of the class, crowd control, self sustain, hard hitting, lots of stuff to manage and THINK before pressing buttoms....that's what i saw in HEAVENSWARD DRK and loved...but what a surprise, since i've started playing during Shadowbringer days, just right after they started to fuck the entire job down, and from that period to now, Shadowed Vigil is the first and only truly nice addition so far asides from the different shades of Flood of Shadow, i won't even get started on enhanced unmend, like 3 or 4 shadow traits, removing plunge and not giving other short offensive ogcds to spice our gameplay, nerfing mp generation, dark mind/missionary being extremely situational and almost always useles since i don't like XIV raids and don't even plan on spending time with that, TBN BEING the worst option of all the 4 short defensive cds that every tank has, they even fucked abyssal drain healing potential and not satisfied, TIED ITS CD TO CARVE AND SPIT FFS, Oblation is just completely insulting since you get it at 82, so you're telling me that Oblation is the equivalent to holy sheltron/bloodwhetting/heart of corundum????

Where is dark dance, dark passenger, BLOOD PRICE, blood weapon giving blood stacks and attack speed, sole survivor, scourge, power slash, spinning slash, tar pit, carnal chill, old reprisal, old delirium? why can't i aim and drop my salted earth wherever i want? why i'm punished for using living dead if i don't write a memo to my healer? why i have to feel good about being a burden to my party just because i want to feel like a special snowflake using a bad class under the premise of "git gud - i'm a good player - i know my stuff - healers adjust"???

...i really love alliance raids and field operations and whenever i stop and think about using current DRK in a open world enviroment like Eureka, i'd rather wash my eyes with grinded glass...i'm not even kidding, every-single-expansion, they came up with new ways to strip DRK of something nice, i can't even see the class that atracted me into this game anymore.
narutokaze3604: I don't know if it is going to be a dumb opinion or not but I feel like if the gap closers don't have any dps behind the attack anymore, they should allow them to be used to also gap close to party members as well like monk and viper. I would love to be able to do that.
Babs-md3tj: The fact that they kept damage on PLD and WAR gap closers is a fucking travesty

nise512: Personally never minded TBN but wish it just had a longer duration so the damn thing had time to break.
NeatNightOwl: My core concern with Xeno's suggestions is that it's generally a push toward further homogeneity.
It's good to put forward ideas, but were they all implemented, it would just be amplifying the slop that the tanks are currently sloshing through.
Some.Legend: I also remember a time in ARR when I mained Warrior Lv50 and everyone picked Paladin’s over Warrior because WAR had little to no mitigation, and this was early during Titan Extreme and Coil of Bahamut turn 1-5.
user-xl6kw6iw7q: I love DRK but it definitely is the tank with the most issues. T_T Abyssal Drain needs it's cd reduced by half and to not be attached to the Carve and Spit CD. They need to make TBN not cost mana or something. Or halve the cost.
DacianGradaMusic: even as a filthy casual when it comes to tanks i hate how drk plays and feels :( running dungeons means i'm griefing my teams for no reason and in PF the prog potential of the others is just too good... it's so sad because when it comes to job fantasy it's up there for me with Warrior
darkfire8008: Just need to give each Delirium combo an aditional 200mp per GCD to bring it back to same regen.

Salted Earth would change to function like it’s PvP counterpart somewhat where it mitigates dmg (with still dealing dmg) while the Dark Knight is standing in it and it’s follow up (Salt and Darkness) giving a potent regen/flat heal to Drk once executed.

Abyssal Drain reverted back to being a global and made part of the aoe combo

Edge/Flood/TBN….mp cost reduced to 2k.

TBN should ALWAYS give you Dark Arts up front along with giving you the shield

Dark Arts should be buffed to having a 3rd/4th option of being able to enhance Abyssal Drain and/or reducing recast of Carve and Spit if it’s on cooldown (that’s to go along with Abyssal Drain being back on the gcd-like old times). Along with already giving a free use of Edge/Flood.

All of the TBN shield breaking....additional effect changed from ‘granting Dark Arts’ to either reset a charge of Oblation or reduce its cooldown by 30 secs

Shadowstride getting a 3rd charge and made to function like Mnk's Thunderclap. So, you can dash toward either a target or party member.

Enhanced Unmend trait either deleted or effect changed to reset one charge of Shadowstride or reduce its cooldown by 30 secs.

Delirium combo…should be extended to a 5 hitter like Drg. Come up with 2 additional hits or re-introduce some older animations for the job that it had in earlier xpacs. Also...halving the recast to 30 secs to be used as frequent like the gun combo on GNB. Soul Eater combo for a min straight, every min, for any non pvp content....is old.

2 more follow up actions after Disesteem. To make it a proper combo after using Living Shadow every 2 mins (similar to Gnb’s 2 min Bloodfest now having follow up actions/a separate combo behind it)

Dark Mind…either revamped to having additional effect of either being a temporary self-buff.

Or the additional effect of being able to self-cleanse the Walking Dead debuff if it’s triggered when using their invuln. With the bonus of restoring significant hp if a self cleanse of Walking Dead is registered.
