World First Raider Gets Destroyed on Twitter Xeno Reacts to Sfia Drama FFXIV

muovikallo: Damn, Dawntrail was so bad we're back to dramas
hongmeiling6065: Why would you go on twitter and say "Why don't women wanna play the game with me???" if you dont want people to dig shit up about you? baffling
MissTrysh: He's not sorry for the cheating, he's sorry he got caught.
krett1117: "I am extremely extremely aggressive of protecting the things that I love" ... he does love us!!!!
thuncerd1087: He’s going to have to name change, phantasia, get a fake passport and plastic surgery after this
Midnightear: Sadly this game attracts alot of lonely people, I don't know what it is, but it feels like this game is a dating sim. I don't talk to anyone or get involved with people anymore, the moment I say I'm a girl and see the 'simp mode on' is really kinda gross. Some are really creepy too, I hate it. I know not everyone is like that but I'm at a point where I don't want to take chances anymore...
melissas4874: These are voluntary groups that come together and not workplaces. So if someone like Lionel is harassing a fellow raider it's not like they can go to HR or make any complaints without risking being kicked for "creating drama" even though the shitty person is the one starting drama in the first place. Raiders love to pretend they are being "professional", but being professional also means not tolerating people who bring a toxic environment to your "work place". There are absolutely corporations out there who still tolerate this, but eventually it is found out and they have trouble keeping employees who just don't like this shit regardless of gender.
Auraflare2280: As a woman, I've been stalked, harassed, made to feel like I'm less skilled in a few games. I mostly solo played or just didn't really talk in DF stuff, and joined a FC full of people I knew from FFXI as I knew they were decent people. I started raiding in ShB, and was lucky to find a group that didn't treat me less just because I am a woman. I don't clear week 1 or join HC groups as I have heard that quite a bit of it is a boys club. Further, I have obligations that make a HC schedule hard to commit to. That said, your sex/race/disabilities DO NOT determine if you are better than anyone, and this bull just needs to stop. Glad to see he is getting called out, as anyone that does that sort of shit does need to be called out. I read his 'apology' and it seems weak at best.
Jacqli-Rivoli: The people that virtue signal the loudest are often the people with the most skeletons in their closet.
GMBastetBaast: Literally had this happen to me and another friend. A dude started flirting with us, when he saw that he wasn't getting nowhere he started telling us things like "Good luck finding someone to tank for you", got all his friends to treat us like we were "drama queens". What he didn't tell anyone is that he cried when we told him we were not interested, asked us for another chance and had this creepy need to "have us in call while he slept". He left unscathed, and from what i hear he still does the same to other female players
alaineninmah7040: As a woman that likes end game raiding, but I also DON'T like sitting at a computer for 16-18 hours a day to do world prog. Get 4 to 6 montsh per tier. Got plenty of time to clear lol
KyvannShrike: When you are looking for the LITERAL best team to clear content with, race, gender, everything takes a massive fucking backseat. None of it matters. None of it SHOULD matter. Period.

If you truly believe in gender equality or racial equality then merit should be all that matters and if minorities truly can shine in gaming they will eventually end up in the world firsts. No one should be picking anyone simply because of race or gender. No one should be striving for a diverse team. Whether or not your team is diverse should be completely irrelevant, if it happens, cool I guess, but TRYING to make it happen is cringe.
juniormendes7631: "What is this weeb game"

I fucking lost it here hahahahaha
aerialdive: I think everyone jumping on sfia miss the overall point of how this issue is systemic and radiance was very much a huge part of that. the WF community harbor so much vitriol towards women and other marginalized people its insane
jeremiahbullfrog226: It's very rare to see someone get absolutely cooked like this.
KoyaMusa: As a friend of one of the women involved, I'm happy she came forward. I won't speak for her, but I do want to reiterate that this situation really destroyed her love of the game. She was always pushing hard content years ago and this just sapped the joy she found in it.
Kanokey: So personal problems between a couple people on twitter/irl = ffxiv drama. Naah this is some soy ass issues that has nothing to do with the actual game itself.
flyingpancake23: I watched Sfia play with Naguura from WoW and he was a bit weird with her too. Kind of uncomfortable at times.
HarumiYu: Why the fuck people on this game are so unhinged, jesus christ, second life making numbers.
MisterNightfish: That's just me, but I never had a problem with women when it comes to raiding, not in FF and not in other games. At least not any more than the normal disagreements you'd have in any other raid group. One of my most successful statics (older content on minimum item level, progging savage raids as they released, etc) was led by a woman and nobody acted any different than if it had been a guy. We weren't trying to set any records, but who cares? All in all, we did well enough.
siyrean: i used to attend a performing arts high school. the ratio was 3 to 1 girls to boys. Was that because women are just "better" at the performing arts than men, or is it a cultural socialization? Its the same for esports. More women would attract more women and the talent pool would rise from there. It may seem dumb to people who think joining a male dominated space is nbd, but yes, seeing other women in the esport space does influence whether others are willing to take the plunge.
ElderGamerX: It's crazy how FF14 is considered to have this incredible community, and is way more inclusive than WoW. The communities are definitely different, but one really isn't any better than the other.

The only difference is that WoW is full of toxic negativity, trolls, loudmouth douchebags, and tryhards. FF14 is full of toxic positivity, gooners and deviants, twofaced douchebags, and tryhards. In WoW, you're more likely to have an altercation, but at the same time, if you criticize someone for playing wrong in a pug, you won't get reported and possibly punished like in FF14.

Also it seems like in WoW, most of the sexual misconduct seems to occur in the company, where in FF14 most of it seems to be in the community.

I miss MMO communities from 15 years ago lol...
-L1K-: Xeems continues to be the most normal person in the community.
polmao: Ive been "rejected" due to voice or I guess perception of what race I am in this game. I dont want to get into specifics but I am happy to be in a group now where I am respected and cared for. Theres a lot of bad apples in FFXIV.
unitedstatessc: Is Sfia xeems ex-lover? I don't understand their relationship.
Enderlinkpawnu: To his original point, I agree about half way. I just don’t think there is much of a desire from a lot of women to prog high end savage like that, generally speaking, its just not something girls really get into. Just look at the general esports scene for a broader example, there are some
CTN404: I never tell people I’m a woman irl. I never do voice chat on discord. I just play.
carminio79: Extremely bad take inc.
I have played MMOs since 2006 and ive seen this shit repeating itself over and over. Both men and women are to blame in these cases.
Noone is a victim .
these people are clinging to online fake and toxic relationships because have got nothing going in their lives.
dont believe me? pause and read the messages. how they write paragraphs trying to explain their feelings and try to keep the other engaged into drama.
A simple "fuck off" will suffice.
Signed, a filthy casual XD
enpi-me: Can't you all just... play the game in peace
GainHP: No matter how big you get we appreciate how you mention your audience. So many big streamers lose touch and forget who got them there
LuminateTheWorld: this only reminded me to never spend more then 1 hour a day on social media if even that. Never be perpetually online. It's not good for your mental health nor your physical health. Seek the grass instead.
XMegaJuni: Wasn't Mister Happy in Radiance?
heartlacies: Xenos, the Keemstar of the FFXIV community.

No, this is not a compliment.
