solarismagnum: I think you hit the nail on the head in the last video when you talked about how removing xp from trash fights took the fun out of them. Having to plow through mobs because it's a dungeon and they're there feels more like a chore than gameplay. It feels like the mobs have way too much HP in the criterion dungeons too. It all ends up feeling like a slog, which is why I don't do them that much even though I like the concept.

eorzeanadventurer7171: I see you keep complaining about the trash mobs in variant dungeons... But you seem to be forgetting that they're directly involved in several of the puzzles necessary to get all the endings (killing a certain order, allowing/not allowing a certain attack to go off, killing in certain locations/facing certain directions, etc). It's not all the time, but they do happen often enough that I feel they do add to the experience (plus they make for interesting challenges when you do the criterion dungeons). All in all, I think they're implemented well in variant/criterion dungeons
