Zoraal Ja, Sphene, and Bakool Ja Ja were all the same, but they spend less time on screen so there's less time for them to piss you off.

And having major characters like the WoL and Scions passively standing around barely engaging with anything while we listen to the 214346t212415th monologue just exacerbates the lot.

The music was a huge step down in general. The Disney like music was not only inappropriate but utterly trash. The staff who worked on the PVE and the mechanics and things like that should be rewarded. There should be a massive focus on undoing the bland and boring cookie cutter jobs. I hope people at Square are reading comments and watching content creators rip the game a new one because they have a lot of work to do and this harsh and brutal feedback is needed.

lastdayer101: I've actually been tired of a character before in a game, and it was FFXIV. I HATED Cid until Shadowbringers. Whenever he would show up in ARR-Stormblood, he would just take credit for solving problems, right after I had just gone through a bunch of gameplay and quests.

Nero saved Cid for me. He humbles him.

They give you zero time to breathe, she's on your ass more than your own shadow but then to add insult to injury, she's written as annoyingly as possible and if you played in English, the voice acting. No Wuk Lamat present and being able to talk to someone without her butting in... I don't think it helps that the scions don't really serve a role here aside from like Krile at the 11th hour so for some it feels like Wuk Lamat is handcuffed to you for the entire expansion with cardboard cutouts of the scions as your sole buffer

- talk to locals and learn about their customs

Especially the cowboy play in a certain area, which we just watch from the sidelines like a tourist, and even the actual theme park area at the very end, with literal plays, natural museums and all, kinda underline it.

It's like in normal novels you see the interesting parts and action, but skip the training montage, but here it feels the opposite... you do all the mundane walking and chores, but the action is too often over in moments and, in some cases, you're even essentially the NPC observing the main characters in action.

As a bonus, the whole "hear, feel, think" thrown around as a lame marketing slogan every now and then really irked me; it just makes me feel it's a cringe in-game ad for some slogan t-shirts "coming soon on a SE e-shop" (not sure if there are) and breaks my immersion.

No normal person throws slogans around in their daily conversations; like you have a meal with friends at a local restaurant, and someone goes "alea iacta est" randomly between the conversation. Ew.

3Gads: I really wanna know why Wuk was written to be glued to your side. Not even the raids and other quests the new MSQs writers wrote before being promoted were like this.

i honestly would have LOVED if the first Third or even Half of the expansion were just the scions having a vacation and dealing with all the goofy situations that come with that.

give me a momment where the "adults of the group" are struggling with booking an inn, make us deal with the silly logistics of food, room-sharing, time managment etc.

and then the second half could be the actual contest and maybe the rest of the expansion (and if it feels too bloated, maybe push stuff into the patch content?)

This doesn't change the issue with her stealing the spotlight so much, but it is also a very important aspect of how she is perceived.

I just think the english voice is pretty grating.
