syllawblood: Sadly Xeno is legit known more as a drama and react streamer than a greed god, this is the darkest of timelines.
Limelol: To me, the craziest thing about this video is learning that your background wasn't your room. I feel deceived. I bet you even have hair.
captainchonk3358: Whos saying ff has no content between patches, the community makes the content
xNico1412: I swear it's like every day I'm getting so many examples of why not having Twitter is probably the best decision I ever made in my life.
Bazoinkerz: Bald bottom left
kylesmith6133: Normal people: Where is your proof this happened?
Twitter: the proof is I made it the f*ck up!
nodot17: So who's ready ff14 to win best community award for another year in a row
22Vnnami: The “believe all women” thing was such a haphazard phrase and poisoned so many people without critical thinking skills. The reason that phrase exists isn’t because women are always right and telling the truth, it’s because they’re victimized more often than men.
The phrase people should have used is “take all potential victims seriously.” But that doesn’t fit in a hashtag nicely.
PBToaster: "If you take twitter seriously, you're brain-damaged."
Truest and based of take.
Quagomancer: NA people and FFXIV drama, name a more iconic duo
davuz: I'm just here, waiting for the Twitter users meltdown in the comments xdx
ShikiRyougi05: This is just so weird...i joined the FFXIV community very recently (6.2) and istg it felt like paradise, the perfect gaming community but as soon as you go a lil deeper it reveals this huge shithole of drama.
Xana_K: Love ya Xeno but Spudz is correct. After almost 10 years I've just come forward and reported my own experience to the police. But I have very little, almost 0 evidence. I delayed reporting out of pure fear, thinking I'd never be believed, and also from the sheer impact of the trauma and having to relive it all over again.
I agree we need evidence I'm not arguing on your points for a minute because I actually agree with you. But I just want to say that there are more victims out there with 0 evidence than you'd think. Especially when it comes to grape or SA. Grape and SA crimes are not always violent either. These are things that happen in a most intimate setting where there are no witnesses. It's incredibly hard. For me as a victim having everyone say "we don't believe you" is incredibly hard, and a reason I delayed reporting to the police. In fact whilst I was in a relationship with my abuser, when I tried to reach out and tell people what I was going through, people sided with him and acted like I was a crazy woman. It was heartbreaking and traumatising that some people can just dismiss it without even taking the time to see.
If you know the person intimately, if it's your friend or family member or they've been in your life for a while, maybe they don't have evidence but you can have a deep conversation about it, see what their body language is, can they give you details, how do they act and react? You can sense a liar a mile off in a conversation like that because nothing adds up.
People who invent abuse make me absolutely sick, and they absolutely do. Often the perpetrators of abuse do this
To discredit the actual victim. It's disgusting so I understand the entire argument of needing evidence. An outsider, a stranger could never know who's honest and who's not :(
basch71: FF14 community twitter is basically a double negative
TheSeafoamturtle: I feel like the person who made the "lusting after trans women" comment was mad because you called out Sena Bryer's bad take about the song Smile and her unprofessional conduct. :T
Amazing the mental gymnastics people do to try and come out as the 'right' person in a situation.
ameliadayffxiv: I'm a woman and was attacked over this whole shitstorm because I outwardly stated that what is happening isn't about misogyny or sexism, it's about /people/ being terrible to one another and as a society we need to work together, men and women, to make it a better place for everyone. The attacker obviously focused on the fact that I said it wasn't about misogyny or sexism. Completely disregarding the fact that I stated we treat /people/ terribly, equally, and equally, we need to change our attitudes and behaviors for a better world. But ya'know, fuck me for not joining the blanket hating on men bandwagon as a woman. Someone else literally said I was a "bad person". For wanting equality. Like, what? insert jackie-chan wtf meme
yasuchika: General rule of thumb, people on twitter have zero sense of reading between lines or really any sort of proper reading comprehension.
AutoriotM: Is the new MSQ that bad that they need all these additional storylines?
LenaxDRu: The part that shocks me is the fact they think this is no drama. Some people tried to tell this story to the Japanese community and they were pretty weird out about why they should care about couples problems.
Boredum: As per usual, twitter is the court of public opinion that no one with a head on their shoulders will actually take seriously.
TortoiseMaximus: Arthars and his wife just seem like the average Chinese couple, it's just a cultural difference lol
OkamiAurora: As a former raid lead in WoW, and an assault survivor... a LOT of people try to lie about people they don't like. One great example is when I was in a private call with a shot caller in my group. I was messaged and told he had been harassing a girl in the group. I asked them to take a screenshot of the convo, and it all looked pretty legit. I asked the guy to show me their dms on a discord stream... nothing. Not even her messages that were in the fake messages. Later I found out the girl was rejected by him and wanted to take his spot from him. She had made an alt to have a conversation with herself. You truly can't trust people at their word anymore. This isn't to say you shouldn't support the person making the claims... Just that you shouldn't ruin someone's life with no evidence. Hope this dies down soon tbh
Makkle4000: Happy I got a full time blue collar job and a full set of hair, I'll never understand the twatter hivemind
NastyMick: This happens a lot to Twitter artists. There are organized groups for this. Discord servers they've made where numerous people gather evidence to try and report/out people they don't like. It's so fucking weird.
sorinnoctis652: It's so funny seeing people go back and forth between "Hey you should use your platform to talk about this!!"
To
"Omg he's milking the drama for content!!"
Do you want him to speak or not? Lol
TeddyBearsGames: People have forgotten you have to proove guilt not innocence
taylanhaydar4255: Once again the internet proves to me that these people in the ff14 community are hazards to society. The fact that they don’t understand the concept of “evidence” just highlights why it’s so important in a court of law
TNTspaz: This is such a stupid hill to die on for twitter. If they knew anything about Xeno. They'd know he would be the most vocal advocate for this when evidence actually comes out. Which is more likely and common than people like to pretend. Especially if this happened over a long period of time. Xeno is the guy you want in your corner cause he will go the extra mile for you. Xeno doesn't play the accusation/allegation game and that's all they care about so he is now enemy number 1
I 100% knew this was going to get out of control after I saw the sfia drama. A lot of these people are from the biggest and most toxic FF14 discords. That's actually how the Sfia dogpill happened so quickly. They love this crap. They fester for so long inside their echo chambers that every time they poke their head out. They are even more extreme than the last time. No one takes all their crap seriously normally cause they sound insane so they need stuff like this that people can't ignore.
ZoraDoom: Some people be saying that the constant drama is due from “content drought”, but let’s be honest folks.
This has been almost non-stop since like Endwalker lmao.
MrXxsnipesXx: video starts
gypsysol9902: Reminds me of the whole "believe all women" thing. And since this is the FF14 community.... yeeeeah. Super wild they are going after Happy thoe. Bro is critical about hunt train, gets branded a threat to the hive mind, lol.
dougarmstrong1798: It is far worse to convict an innocent man then to let a guilty one walk free. Every modern justice system is based on this concept.
-L1K-: People got no lives of their own.
RoniDraws: terminally online people getting farmed by Xeems lol
taco_sensei: American FFXIV community never dissapoints
kylemeschke6584: This is one of the reasons I quit F14, ya'll are fucking nuts.
AlexLaw-y9j: FFXIV is a great game, I love it. However, the community is 90% toxic Lefty weirdos... I try to avoid the community as much as possible.
hypersleep9336: i cant take this anymore
Heartless-Sage: I no longer see social media as worth it.
People being able to talk to family on the other side of the planet.
People being able to support each other no matter the distance.
People being able to aid each other during the lockdowns.
There was so much potential and instead we have made social media a pit of hate, false allegations and abuse, and somehow worse things too. Fuck it.
TheTrev5000: Its so wild how the entire sfia thing got so lost in the sauce it just became "i dont ___
shikiyama: I've always been under the mindset of that I'll believe victims but I'd still like proof. I want to give people the benefit of the doubt and trust them but the truth of the matter is that people lie, not everyone can be trusted and evidence is needed. I'm a woman myself and I raid, I believe that a lot of my fellow women have suffered a lot of abuse and ignoring over things they can't control but there are vindictive people, there are people who just hate others and want them to suffer retribution for things in the past.
What we should do is trust victims but not 100% unless they can provide evidence, some insane people do have platforms they use to manipulate the truth, especially during situations like these where public opinion can easily be swayed.
NessaGuitarFI: i stopped playing the game cuz im just sick of the drama chasers everywhere in this community
crazy how people think they have the right to call anyone out without proof
williammatthews8684: The last time I was doing duty roulettes, I did something wrong as a tank and a couple of people completely lost it in the chat. "I'm so glad I never have to see you in high level content!" Some in this community are genuinely great, others like this one is the reason I've been exclusively crafting and gathering the last few weeks.
tenkowolf8325: This is why I don't have a Facebook, X or Instagram.
Lilybellmusic: Xeno, you're right that all these people that are out for blood and taking issues with hunt train drama or Nova etc are ridiculous. You're completely right on that and these people should seriously stop acting like this on twitter.
But when you say you need actual evidence for things, you might think you're working with a solid principle but in reality that is really out of touch. A lot of these issues with women cannot have evidence besides their words and their experience - I mean how would that even happen? It's not like women record themselves 24/7 and it is very widely known that going to the police is very ineffective most of the time. Also, doesn't what you're saying also apply to sfia situation? You did not witness sfia typing these DMs to these girls or manipulate them irl, and discord DMs can easily be faked. Multiple people can come together and corroborate to share the same fake story as well. So in sfia's situation, all you have are just words and rumours discord DMs which can be faked easily too.
What I am trying to say is that the level of evidence can vary, and things are never as simple as evidence-or-nothing approach. It's not even agreed on what is "good enough evidence". Very often words is all they have, and you are being very unrealistic if you think words alone should be dismissed. As evidenced by so many women coming forward with their stories, things are heavily stacked against women by default. This is why you should always start out by considering what they say, instead of dismissing it because it's not "good enough evidence", whatever that means.
Think about the greater picture and consider the pros and cons - a lot of victims are already discouraged from coming out due to power dynamic, not wanting to relive the trauma, fear of retaliation, etc. If you make it even harder for women to come out by insisting that they must always have "good enough evidence", you are not improving things on average. Just because some people lie and make false accusations doesn't mean you should throw out the baby with the bathwater. A better stance would be to consider everyone's words to begin with, but punish the false claims harder.
inekd: last time chatter here, but this time it's not a joke as I am no longer feel welcomed here
this comment section should be a reality check for you, unless you are happy that you are cultivating audience of insane misogynists and transphobes, it's your channel after all
CombativeMedic: There will always be someone who hears, "I like pancakes" and translates as, "I hate waffles" ...just not worth the argument.
arxzcm: nah it's really just you and Arthars we're disappointed in
hope u never get an invite to another ffxiv media tour
PriestEater: the ffxiv twitter community is primarily why i deleted my twitter.
Mochachocakon: Does FF twitter just not want anyone to make content of their game? Just have the game fade into obscurity?
LoliO.: I am with Xeno, I cannot believe people without proof. I can be sympathetic but I'm not going to call for someone'sv livelihood to be damaged over accusations without proof.
