bolladragon: That's a PERFECT description of the mood in that area. Ishgard isn't fully welcoming to outsiders, dragons lurk just outside of sight, the ice and snow are fresh, and the cold could just as easily take you as the monsters.

ProjectThunderclaw: It gets pretty funny a couple expansions later when you're like level 70 and you only came back here to do some mining, so you're just having a snowball fight with some lady wearing a moogle head (and only a moogle head) while waiting for the Darksteel node to spawn and there's just this ominous choral music playing over the whole scene. Absolutely surreal.

Dhalin: It is one of the better zone BGMs, though there's a few awesome ones in HW and beyond too. And that's not even scratching how much Soken hits it out of the park with some of the trial, raid, and even just the battle themes. Or the absolutely epic first Shadowbringers dungeon theme.

Our guy here is still in ARR... he's got no clue what's coming later and it's awesome to see him discover bit by bit how the game just keeps getting better in every way.
