Kikkia2018: honestly, modding is what keeps me playing ff14 (almost) every month. i have run out of things to do, that i want to do anyway. i used to be a raider in wow but i don't want to get back into that again in ff14. been staying strong as a casual and i successfully haven't burnt myself out 'cause of that. i've been having a blast for a few years of casual gameplay and i think it's healthy to not play every day. mods however keep me interested cause i want to try on new clothes all the time haha

SE: "don't use mods we'll ban you, we don't want to have to put invasive hardware on your computer to check so please don't use them." anjoumaaka: I feel like the real excuse SE has for their stance on it is that it's unfair to those that play on console. But SE also has an ego, and plugins hurt that ego because it shows SE that they could have done something better. Just look at all the plugins that have become an actual in-game feature. Keep it up mod community. You are doing the game a huge favor.

AngryTenko: Let's talk about the elephant in the room: If you live anywhere far enough from the servers that you get triple digit latency, you're hardcapped on performance. You cannot double weave without using XIVAlexander or NoClippy. You're just automatically shit at the game without using an addon if you happen to live in the wrong geographical location.
