caineghisbeoulve6014: As a main tank, if there is more than 20%, we restart the fight
LivvieLynn: 90% is too much....BUT if it's the MSQ roulette, have fun and I'll even let you solo at 100% while I take a nap.
DeeDee-op1zy: it takes a super long time to solo a boss as a tank from 90% >.<
naywils: Far too many times I've had a tank do this then 5mins later they die and we're back at the start. Fuck no they're not doing 90%
Sir.Cavalcante: People want to play too, I think that if everyone dies when the boss still has a lot of life it's polite to reset the fight, if the boss has little life (20% or less) I think the tank can try to kill. Guys, it's an online game, there's a chat, would it hurt to try and have a civilized conversation?
The tank was wrong to carry everything on his back without caring about the others and the rest of the party were wrong to kick the guy out of the dungeon just like that.
This is his version, there's no screenshot or anything, so we don't know if that's what really happened.
Harkmagic: I always enjoyed watching a tank be a badass soloing the boss.
XTeiroi: I personally believe no Tank should be able to solo a GROUP dungeon boss. Especially for that long of a fight. Maybe soloing 10% if everyone died to a mechanic late, but not 90% of the fight.
ImortalEnvy: 10% any more and its a reset
ventest8085: I did alexandria yesterday. My group died every boss I did solo all of them but I asked them if they wanted me to wipe in chat . Before I did the solo.
Eredom: Usually for me, if the boss is above 30% I suicide as a tank. If the boss is between 15 and 30% I ask if they want me to solo it. If its below 15%, I solo.
eikofarron6364: As a WAR main, when this happens I consider a couple of things. First how much is left on the boss? If it's 10-15%, then that's a relatively short cleanup. Second, ask your party. Some would rather reset than watch you try to be awesome. Personally if I die on a boss I'm itching to get back in there to redeem myself rather than watch a tank solo for 10 mins. Lastly I consider if someone is new. If you have a new person, they'll learn mechanics way better by resetting and letting them learn instead of watching you
NorthLotus: From 90% is actually kinda crazy admittedly.
deanospimoniful: I soloed the Barreltender yesterday after my first-timer party wiped to it twice. I got three comms. The answer, as always, is that it depends on your party.
chiekokurokumo: I was in a dungeon with my sis doing her first time in a dungeon in ShB. We get to the end boss of this particular dungeon. Three of us wipe to mechanics except for the tank. The boss had around 40% health left. (definitely close to a third left, definitely OVER 10%) Tank refused to give up. We had to sit there outside the boss ring for 15 minutes (maybe longer!), I kid you not. When it ended, the tank said, "I wanted to see if I could do it, and I could!" We did not kick him. We didn't report him either. We gave comms to the 2nd DPS and left without a word. My sister was upset because her first time experiencing that dungeon involved being stuck and not getting to do the last bost, so we queued up for another run and had a blast. I think what irked me the most was that they didn't let us know what they were doing. If they had even explained previous to going in what they wanted to do and asked permission, it would be a different story. After all, we share the world together.
oszaszi: Doesnt matter what we think. If the party kicked them with a vote, its their choice to do so. You cant do much about it. Some parties kick people if they rush too much. In this case they even asked for them to wipe, so they have evidence of it in the chat.
snarly7346: Any groups I've been in have been thrilled to watch the tank clear the boss. Best part is collecting your reward at the end? so who cares? i sure don't.
nighteyeswolf: I remember last dungeon in 6.0 the same thing happening to us, I was on warrior and the rest of the party died to mechanics and they were all doing the light sticks as I soloed it the rest of the way. forget if it was at 80% or so, but they said have at it when I asked if I should die as well. That's when they proceeded to start waving the sticks. Obviously if they all wanted me to die I would have but that's why you NEED to pay attention to chat lol
NatCr3w: I don't have a percentage I'll go for, but if the party is dying to dumb shit I'm soloing it. If you can't stay off the floor, stay mad when I do it myself. 90% I'll usually wipe, but on the other hand, in one of the expert dungeons, the healer kept dying at 80% on the first boss. With no secondary rez, it became me keeping the DPS up till about 30%, then I would solo the rest on GNB. If a tank soloing the boss while you lay there upset at your own inability to stay alive, then that's your fault.
Foxkey: Usually I don't mind but 90% is a bit too much
