ElrokFoxx: They need to fix how MCH's auto crossbow works, there is literally no reason for it to not refresh the ogcd's like heat blast does. It honestly makes the aoe rotation clunky... It baffales me that the people that do the combat design for MCH havent realized this. But they'll reduce its aoe damaged for seemingly no reason????

ElderGamerX: "Smile" is worse than MCH balance & WL combined. It's like they somehow distilled everything bad about Dawntrail into a few painful minutes.

I would first off raise the potancies of Checkmate and Double Check from 180 to 200.

Make it so that each Drill now gave the player 10 battery charge instead of 0.

Give Mch its own personal DPS amplifier ( something just like Fight or Flight/Lance Charge/Riddle of Fire, ect... )

Make Heated Clean Shot give 20 battery charge instead of 10.

Lastly I would keep Full Metal Machinist potency as is but also add a DoT on top of it ( Just like how Sch's Chain Strat gets a DoT now after using it ).

With this it would fit the selfish DPS job Role for phys ranged, but still would not out DPS the other selfish DPS jobs as it is much easier to play, ( no positionals, no cast times, and lets be real... no actual thinking rerquired lol.) But still a very fun job to play in practice.

Rushifell: MCH needs a total rework, potency wont fix the problems anymore.

NatiiixLP: Nevermind SAM, I hate casting even on RPR. Uptime in M4S with bad RNG was so painful, slidecasting Harpe and Communio as a melee, what a disgusting playstyle. Meanwhile VPR sitting on 3 long GCDs worth of instant ranged attacks with huge potency, wtf?

zullie9614: If they got rid of SAM cast bars I'd quit, I think it's fun and makes the class unique, I think it's fine that it's more difficult for that reason. If they got rid of iaijutsu casts it would be so fucking boring.

1337penguinman: How to fix MCH: Major potency buffs across the board. Make flamethrower do like double damage on targets with the bioblaster DOT. Autocrossbow gives check stacks, or just get rid of it and give heat blast AoE. And, just for fun, change drill into Rocket Launcher or the PvP LB animation.

If they end up doing a full rework I want our Queen to just turn into a mechsuit we hop into. What would be really cool is if it was on a 2 min CD but lasted for a full minute with animation and effect changes to all our tool abilities. So you'd basically spend half your time in the suit and half doing the normal rotation.

Also, I've been wanting a Corsair job since day 1 so I will 100% switch if they release it in 8.0.

Gofr5: The BLM changes imo have been amazing. Having played with it all week now, it has gone from one of my least played classes to one of my most played and favourite classes. LOVE IT! However I hated how old BLM played and have always mained RDM all these years and been enjoying PCT this expansion so far, so I clearly have a different preferred playstyle compared to old BLM players.

IrvineKinneas8882: Imo, the issue with PCT is not that it's damage is bonkers, it's the fact that it's damage is bonkers WHILE it has a divination and a two-minite heal, a shield, and plenty of mobility.

It never went through utility tax.

So easy solution? Make starry sky a personal only buff, and PCT rdps would tank so significantly it'll drop hard enough to be under BLM and rest of melees.

Also, remember - rdms damage has been in the gutter for the sake of the utility tax, on top of having a rez tax.

fatjoe460: Sad we have to tolerate all these random potency changes thanks to content the majority of the community doesn't even play (EX trials, EX raids etc). Any meaningful quality of life changes are only reserved for new expansions and considerations for unique job play styles are ignored to further homogenize the game. Wouldn't find most of these issues if this was a new series but been with this mmo for over a decade. Spend most of their time working on superficial fluff and not the core gameplay most people are still subbed for.

GainHP: The reason why the VA and music was so bad was because SE hired DEI for the west and literally Sweet Baby Inc. of all companies. They sell themselves as risk mitigation and marketing to reach all players which SE eats up. FF14 is the cash cow of SE and needs subs to keep cash flow going. You could sell them on NFTs even bro. oh wait their CEO did buy into it. A game for everyone is a game for no one. Innovation drives business. Good luck SE! Trust the devs to make cool shit again

richardwicker8456: The chief complaint about BLM changes aren't that they make the BLM bad (quite the opposite) but that the changes make the BLM very boring. I played the new dungeon with BLM and it felt about as interesting as working an assembly line in a factory.

The changes is basically a lobotomy of the job

You have no more gauge timer to worry about all your procs are infinite so no more worrying about using them at the right moment, faster casting on pretty much every cast

So you lost a lot of the difficulty,,, then again after playing the new raids the changes are warranted and if they keep going the way of the new raid with speedy gameplay and like funny animations during the fights are more downtime etc (which I like it's not a criticism!) the changes will be even more appreciated

It's also way easier to play, I started playing in shb and the change they've been making since then, removing enochian as a buff, swiftly changing from fire to ice and back, more triple casts and now no more gauge timer all those changes make the job easier to play and grasp for anyone who might've been scared to try it out!

imapseudonym6198: Healer IS a super engaging, fun role to play.... for the first week of any brand-new content. Seriously, when nobody knows what they're doing, it's great! The second people start learning and gearing up, it's boring as hell again.

Zoltri: Coming from wow, one thing I do miss in this game is the feeling of your rotation changing based off the number of targets you're fighting.

Not like, AoE Button, Single Target button, but like, I think its cool for example when you use an AoE and it generates an amount of meter relative to how many targets you hit, or you have a proc chance on your AoE that rolls for each target hit.

Like, when playing Ninja, I think it would just feel more fun if every time you use the 2ed AoE combo action, you had a 5% chance per target to get a free Hellfrog for example, so in those pulls where you're fighting 14 targets, your rotation just feels more dynamically responsive to the situation, and the gameplay isn't the same as when you're fighting 3 targets.
