metalmilitia89: Buns playing WoW. We have truly come full circle.
I’m also back.
lorzon: The reason this seems so Alliance centric is because the Horde keeps elevating conquerors and world beaters to Warchief. They've killed all the named Horde characters other than Thrall and the Blood Elf guy(who will be more central in Midnight).
Knightblade87: 20 years wow player been on and off and a ffxiv player since 2.4. I will say noth games should be good and tribalism should end
Doomedknight85: asa 17 yearveteran whos been playing since i got hooked and watching yopur excitement while playing this i had a feeling this was hjappening... you seem to be enjoying the expansion so much... :) hope you \make memories and enjoy it.. they got me lock in for 6 more years....im seeing this thing to the end no matter what
ahmedal-saidi5211: Honestly as an ff player it would be nice if you drop guides on add ones and such like how to set up weak auras or how to ui add ones such as the ones you use
PetrolJunkie: I tired to play WoW again after moving on but it kept triggering my PTSD. All the drama and toxic players that I thought I used to just shrug off but that wasn't really what was happening kept coming back to haunt me like little imps that just wouldn't go away. People still kick others from groups for minor mistakes. Guilds like entire herds of drama lamas. I just couldn't do it.
Even if the game has changed the community hasn't change enough for me to want to go back.
I was a world first raider and that left some deep scares. I got to see what was happening behind the curtains and realized what the devs where actually doing. I just can't. Once you've seen it, you can't unsee it.
xarbinchaoticneutral1785: Its wild that wow is listening to feedback and trying new things while yoshi p is sticking to the same stale cadencee and design formula and ffxiv is suffering for it. Only thing keeping ffxiv insulated is the encounter design and their rp community thats married to the game.
Although in discourse i find it kind of hilarious that the issues wow players have with wow (our character is too important now, i miss being a random adventurer) is the polar opposite of ffxiv story issues for dawntrail (wah were not the main character, were in the background helping out the actual hero)

youtousim: Having played the latest expansion of FFXIV, Dawntrail, hearing such praise for WoW makes me feel jealous. That being said, I'm glad WoW players get to enjoy good story and worldbuilding again. From all I've heared, you guys suffered long enough. Hope Blizzard can keep it up both story- and gameplay-wise.
KindredEmotions: WoW player turned FFXIV player tries WoW’s new expansion.
Snakester789: People keep saying they did a banger job with the story but i really don't see it as an FF player. I read all the quest text, i stayed a while and listened and i feel like all we did was go to 4 different zones, do 4 mini stories, met a bunch of people, didn't conclude any of it and then suddenly i'm fighting my way to the big bad during the post 80 story.
It all felt so rushed with barely any build up or payoff that i legit thought i'd done something wrong and missed the story.
Edit - It doesn't help that I have no idea who all these characters are, why they are the way they are and have no attachment to them when they're in danger.
