Thanks for doing additional testing for similar bugs. We've also seen similar problems with SMN's potencies from other sources so that gives more evidence.

I will be looking into doing a precise test myself and submitting a bug report for SMN too if no one else gets around to it first.

silasisawesome: Wow, this feels like a wild oversight. The mechanics around pets and pet potency are so opaque that I guess it sort of makes sense that it took this long for players to notice, or at least that it took this long before awareness spread. It sort of makes you question your priors, like, are there more bugs crawling around under the floor boards right as we speak that we simply haven't discovered yet? Can you really trust that the numbers your tool tips tell you are real?

Obiously paranoidly bringing out the spread sheets and running the numbers on every single action in the game every patch just in case one of them breaks somehow would be excessive. At the same time though, how would we make discoveries like this without putting things to the proof?

NekoDalian: Yeah... I knew from the start of 7.0 that SMN was doing suspiciously low damage, but... I just assumed it was an accidental balance issue. Curious to see how much damage SMN does with this bug fixed.

rezahydra: Wow I… as a Sch main, I’m shocked I didn’t notice this. I have been using Seraphic Veil so much for so long as it’s such a good button, along with the faerie heals in general, but I had no idea there was a bug preventing it from being stronger than it already felt.

Kloe: Thats such a wild bug. I think I heard about it a bit ago but I figured it would have been patched by .05... I know Scholar has another bug which hasnt been though (Concitation under the effect of Recitation has an MP requirement of 1000mp to use, instead of 0, but a cost of 0. This is unlike Succor, and therefore clearly a bug). Obviously that one isnt directly related, but it is surprising to me that Scholar has multiple bugs with it since early Dawntrail, and even moreso that there's related bugs with Summoner too :O

moofy69: hell yeah, bug fix gonna boost my damage as smn (by a tiny amount, but hey its something)

axestump3590: Carbuncle is on strike, dev should talk to them soon and sort thing out. Otherwise they would turn themselves back to Proto-Carbuncle and eat SCH and SMN players.
