SixOhTwo602: Ima be real, Dawntrail is not as good as Shadowbringers/Endwalker, but all this GAME DEAD BACK TO WOW stuff is kinda insane and hyperbolic to me. Like, yeah, people hopped in when the game had the giant free trial and two of the best expacs in MMO history back to back with a decade of story buildup and game content to work through. DT was never gonna live up to THAT standard but it's still good, and now they have to actually wait for patches like every other MMO ever. And apparently that's enough to kill it?
AVarghul: 1 hour? We are so fucking back
Armydillo62o: Ah, another hour long video to add to my work shift/road trip rotation. Thanks guys, always appreciate it.
keagian8115: I'm glad they went back to showing instead of telling as well as leaving things for you to ponder instead of it being solved a few scene's later.
MetalMaidenDeth: Glad others appreciate the Timelapse cutscene. That was actually the coolest part of the MSQ this patch even as good as it was. That was such a great inclusion in the cutscene.
The lightning tactical nuke that happened is probably the most badass thing and I loved it so much. Just outta no where BAM
ChakatSilverstreak: By the way, the Genie quote you're looking for is "Often imitated, never duplicated."
lyssalittlebear: "Thank god it didn't suck" man, so true xD
It really felt like this patch respected the player. The pacing was FANTASTIC. I was so delighted with how it went and I'm hyped for what 7.3 will bring :D
Naoto-kun1085: GG MSQ videos, we're so back!
Fingleberrys: MSQ VIDEOS HAVE RETURNED. ALL PRAISE THE ALGORITHM
Khrystarlite: One of my favorite aspects about the montage scene where we are explaining to Sphene the current status of the world is that the other characters are still talking each other, like this is a real group discussion and some the other characters are being filled in on their own knowledge gaps while providing their own perspective understandings
katarh: You were correct. I saw another video right before yours saying, "IT ALL STILL SUCKS BECAUSE I ONLY GOT 2 HOURS OF MY FAVORITE CONTENT" - I only got halfway through that video. It occurred to me that the grumbling was coming from the POV of a streamer who doesn't have to spend 40 hours just grinding out their own crafting mats, and whose biggest complaint is that there was only a few hours of non-Savage video friendly
mummyheadGamma: RE: G’raha. Bailey is aware of how beloved the character is, he loves him too, and he’s said he’ll go out of his way to make it work.
GamingPhilosophe: I loved this patch. Shmeat with her shfeet is adorable. I will say though, I couldn't help but remember an old cliche I didn't even realize until a friend mentioned it to me. Most anime/jrpgs villains are people who are having an existential crisis and make it everyone's problem. Hearing him go on about mankind's evolution I wish I was there to tell him his answer just wasn't good enough and even if that was the answer, someone like him wasn't ready to "manage" the preservation he's talking about. My reaction to his plan was "that's not preservation, what you are talking about is stagnation."
lchigoKurosaki: Im of the opinion that patch 7.2 was already done before they could ever get any feedback about 7.1, maybe not even 7.0
thesunthrone: I really enjoyed the visual editing of this patch. Lots of great camera movements, inventive transitions, snappy edits in the scenes that showed large battles and keeping the pace of the intense action they portray.
It also confirmed basically everything I suspected about Sphene, Preservation and Alexandria from 7.0 so I'm extra happy about that. Maybe now people will actually engage with everything that was set up in the base expansion and we can finally discuss all of it.
Churee: I think two very important things are telling from the 7.1-7.2 MSQ:
1) Old Sphene is absolutely getting set up as a new permanent member of the team.
2) The storyboard has already decided to basically completely abandon everything in the Yok Tural region in the MSQ. The patch storyline is almost completely focused around Solution 9. Frankly, it's kind of baffling how there are 3 whole zones that have basically NOTHING in them that is main story related. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a very aimed effort to move away from the catastrophic first half of the 7.0 MSQ (or they just legit cannot think of a story reason to re-visit those places because at this point they are glorified Beast Tribe Hubs).
And a plus one:
) I think at this point we need a story nuke. Not in a literaly Dalamud-like sense (ALTHOUGH....), but I realistically cannot see how we can be sticking around on the entire Source (with the exception of Meracydia and Corvos). We need a new thread, we need to follow something off-world and we need to build up a new team of allies. I'm really hoping that will be the key storyline of the 7.3-8.0 cycle, similarly to Shadowbringers. Because after Dawntrail, I think we need some fresh air.
Goodman_Grey: "Someone must stop this man"
ChakatSilverstreak: I'm cracking up at the Austin Powers intro.
Crusina: Here come the horde of people who think 7.2 wasn't planned and they are the ones soley responsible for it being a good MSQ.
Pro tip, if you dont have basic reading comprehension skills please refrain from talking about the plot.
aleciaregister162: I did indeed watch the Arcadion part 1 video, lol.
xbree_: This was honestly my favorite patch counting all of endwalker patches.
rjwojo1: Morning all o/
2299firefox: To answer your question posed at the end of the video, as far as Square Enix is concerned financially, I never "left", as I don't want to lose my house. However, with this patch, I've gone from logging in once a week for my weekly "Fish Night" with friends to playing multiple times a week keeping up with all the new content. This patch has definitely brought my excitement back for the game.
MangekyouUchiha: Off topic, but props to Garrett for sporting the same JTHM shirt I got from Hot Topic back in the early 2000s.
stevieblunder2656: Lol. Seriously though they better make Sphene a Scion, I STG.
seekittycat: Omg 1 hour?? Thank you for this blessing
MrKnaives: is there going to be a roundtable with Preach, Okay mage and Jesse?
